You would get lots of people asking victims for the killmail.
Some guy killed my ship after I crashed and he sent me a mail asking for the lossmail since the mails were bugged. Anyone that can take a loss without being a baby should send them the mail if they ask, no matter if you lost a shuttle or BS.

Possibly, I wasn't there when he killed me, so I couldn't tell you myself, but it was a gun on the killmail, not a missle. I'm only going by his word that he didn't get it.
