I submitted a proposal for an exploit fix and I am surprised I have gotten no comments about the idea or not.
So I am linking it here:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=43149&find=unread
to see if anyone can see any issues with the proposal or if people do infact agree with it.
Cheers'

I think it should just be a session change to make the app finalize since that's the rule on joining a corp when involved in a war. You must have a session change so everything updates properly to the wartarget corp members. |

If this exploit is real, then as a player in EVE, it is not up to you to fix the exploit, it is up to you to report said exploit so CCP can fix it.

Bad idea is bad.
No reason to change this...at all.
If you arent paying attention enough to see someone start flashy next to you...that's your problem. If you were half decent you'd be paying attention to those around you...neutral or not. |

An exploit is something used to give an unfair advantage...
Being accepted into a corp - not unfair.
being accepted into a corp and the other guy not paying attention - def not unfair.
edit:
It's called situational awareness...should take a look at what that is. |

Congrats dude, not bad, not bad at all.
Ill rate this a 6/10 Troll attempt.
2 points for brevity. 4 points for clever use of false assumptions coupled with a subtle (but unfortunately still obvious) use of misinformation.
Either your Troll Mojo is strong, or your naivety is truly epic. ( If I was a Goon, I wouldn't hide the fact ) |

I never said or assumed that CCP would do a good job, but only that the job to fix exploits lies with them, not us players.
Our job is to inform them of discovered exploits, their job is to fix it if required. |

MLG, a third-party from Microsoft & Bungie, informs them on how to balance Halo games.
CSM has an identical function.
If we propose a solution that works (You know, like THE JITA PROTESTS) CCP will listen if it has any brains at all. This is claled a reciprocative relationship; we give them ideas, feedback & money, they give us limitless lulz and a decade of explosions. The pie is a tautology |

But not every solution belongs to a real problem

To add to this.... An NPC player can LOCK onto your ship - BOUNCE corps, and initiate the scram.
There is no warning other than the locking mechanism (you are being locked onto).
The solution propopsed elegantly removes the exploit - I am actually surprised people have an issue with a fix. The only people who would really have a problem with this are people who join a corp and want to be in that corp the next second for pvp purposes im assuming.
And to reply about us being players and ccp being devs. These forums are here for ideas and discussions. If a proposal speeds up a fix in the game - it benefits all.

For some odd reason, i have set you to blue. I can't remember you, but that's typical for me, because there's too many people around.
I start to see why i've blued you, though. You have good intentions. I'm all for removing that crap, because it shouldn't be that people can attack others legally without them knowing why this actually happens. They can't even read it up. It's just there.
"Hey ... he locked me. Ha, idiot, can't shoot me anyway."
BOOM
"WTF HAPPENED HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE ?!?!?!?!?!"

however you do get a 6/10 for evading having your original post moved to the place threads go to die The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

The problem is is this doesnt give you time to react to the sit awareness that you are talking about. One minute your looking at a neutral party and the next hes flashing red. EVE is harsh I know but thats just bad game design.
HOWEVER, so is the wardec shield and corp/alliance hopping during a wardec so...
If Wardec shield wont be fixed, I see no need to fix this. |

Can both of these thread be locked?
I mean I have my own ideas on how to fix war deccing but it would still be circumventable in a way and abusingly can be turing into a no gain ransom machine (ie you force the defenders to jettison isk into space basically). It would however just give an appropirate terms of starting and ending wars for both parties.
Either way its something I havent sat down long enough to put ALL of the Cards on the table I particularly want to see the war deccers hands of all sorts not just the greifers but legitimate war deccers as well. I know the defenders deck of cards all to well though at the rate they whine.
Once all cards are on the table and measurable I can probably refine the idea to be reasonable to the war deccers to allow them to cause the damage they wanted. And the defenders wouldnt be so neck high in war declarations.

One thing to add to this - a "Session Change" fix does not work...
as all you have to do is change fleets or join a fleet after you join a corp - and voilla...
