yep, i'm sure it will get some use
at least till someone makes one that shows every rig bpo - component - quantity - skills - research combo possible

they changed material needs for minmatar ships?

Wouldn't it be a neat feature to allow those of us who can salvage the ability to salvage a Minmatar ship while it's still being piloted?
That would rock.

Really, three riggs from the shield class require the other set of components for manufacturing. I corrected the table and added the column of the components frequency use. All the information in the table is from the (market -> manufacture & research -> blueprints -> ship modifications -> info of all blueprints -> bill of materials -> manufacturing -> materials) IÆve just tabulated it.

Is there a spreadsheet showing what each rig boosts, drawbacks calibration points and components required? Basically an updated item database is what I am looking for, but given how hard CCP must be working on other stuff I don't expect to see that anytime soon.

I salvagered Asteroid Blood Raiders a couple of nights. Components dropped in the following proportion:
~31.%Melted Capacitor Console (not use for manufacturing riggs) ~21.%tangled power conduit ~16.%contaminated nanite compound ~16.%defective current pump ~ 8.%charred micro circuit ~ 3.%burned logic circuit ~ 2.%damaged artificial neural networ ~ 2.%fried interface circuit ~ 2.%tripped power circuit
Due to the table all the three components for manufacturing of Armor, Electronics Superiority, Energy Grid, Energy Weapon, drop from Blood Raiders
May be the dropping of components not in the least depend on the NPC type. IÆd like greatly to see the results of Salvager of other types of NPC.

I have done a bit of salvaging and would concur with Florindel's rough percentages of item yields. This leaves me VERY concerned if these rig components are accurate. Two of the most widely used components, the burned logic circuit and the fried micro circuit, are some of the rarest drops. As you need 110 logic circuits to make several of the rigs, and it drops only 3% of the time (it has dropped less than that for me), then you would need to have collected over 3600 items to get enough of this component to build one rig!!! Of course the number of salvage attempts would be much higher. I surely hope they change this. The way it stands many of the rig recipes don't seem to make sense. I have gotten many of the malfunctioning shield emitters as drops, but they aren't even used in many of the shield rigs, but instead the logic circuits are I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere on the boards. Is anyone else as concerned as I am about this and are there plans to look at the rig ingredients? |

Edited by: Ventoro Roliata on 02/12/2006 01:10:00 The rareness of rigs is a related but different matter and has been debated in other threads. It has also been stated that people have gathered roughly 100 salvage parts in a day of constant salvage. If it takes 3600 parts to find the ones you need you are talking about 36 full days of salvage to make one rig. As I have been involved with salvage and have bought several rig bpo's, I am interested in them keeping a high value, and thus thus completely espouse the idea of them remaining rare, but I think this goes beyond rare and is reaching into the impossible. Additionally, people will be winding up with hundreds of unused component parts that are dropping frequently but dont have much use in the rig recipes. This does not make sense to me.

Yeah, I to am wondering about how I am going to get enough Charred Micro circuit, Tripped power circuit and especially fried interface.
I've been salvaging Angels in hostile 0.0 space for a couple of days. Results:
Alloyed Tritanium Bar1635.56% Burned logic circuit36.67% Charred micro circuit24.44% Smashed trigger unit2044.44% Thruster console36.67% Tripped power circuit12.22%
You'd get more if you were following friendlies obviously. No rigs for me till I find a source of other components then. I can't be sure but I think the "common" types I can pick up from small wrecks and rarer only the "better" wrecks. Still trying to work that out.

Speaking of rare parts, has anyone compiled a list of what salvage parts are common, and what's factional. It would be nice to know what else besides ATBs are only found in certain space.*
* I'm assuming shield emitters are the Caldari drop, so that would leave 1 for each Gallente and Amarr, assuming there's 1 for each race ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |
