*disclaimer*
This isnŠt a rant. IŠm sorry for all harsh words which are following (maybe) */disclaimer*
First i have to say, that KALI is an good expansion.... Overall. New Stuff and such things.. Tier 3 BS.. jep,, itŠs good.
But there are also a few things which are dispointing me.
1. Standings
Quote:
You have already set the maximum number of standings allowable (300). Please delete some obsolete standings and try again.
You need to fix this ASAP. Sometimes i think 'hey CCP doesnŠt like corps which arenŠt involved in any alliances' I canŠt imagine that Corp to Alliance Standings are so hard to implement.
2. Ships and Ammo
- The Deimos now needs a large potion of Love. also any other non BS sized ship which uses blasters. which brings us straight to - Blaster / shortrange ammo: In my eyes, shortrange ammo should be Powerfull and it doesnŠt matter if itŠs Hybrid, laser or autocannon ammo. Remove the tracking Penality from ALL shortrange ammo. As for Blasters (the only one which i can use), Void now is really useless. Tracking and DMG penality are just to much on ships which hasnŠt any Tracking bonus aka any other ship then the megathron.
- The Eagle Sure the 'Range Nerf' on Spike was needed. But 30km less optimal combined with the hitpoint boost are making this ship also nearly useless. It just lacks of Firepower. Give it an additional Turret hardpoint and all is fine again.
3. NOS
Every little bugger and his Mother fits NOS. I really get sick of this 'if you canŠt kill his tank in 1 min. NOS him to death' attitude.
Nos are just to powerfull now. DonŠt get me wrong, i like NOS on my ships. 1 or 2 to get eough cap to rum my guns/tank. But there should also be a Stacking penality in place for NOS. which makes more then 4 NOS totally useless. But even then a NOS domi is had to kill i bet ;)
4. ECM
With kali you nerfed ECM.
First i thought. Finally they are fixing it. Then i logged on to sisi...
The only thing you nerfed are Caldari. Even a scorp with EW mods doesnŠt have the old jammstrengh because thereŠs a stacking penality on places. Well done :(
Funny story: i once jammed a Megathron with 1 White noise.
after this i though: 'hey. ccp made crap with EWar' Chance based ECM is just wrong. ECCM modules are useless, because of the current system.
Bring back the 'old' ew system where jamstrengh had to be greater then the Targets Sensorstrengh.
5. POS / Sovereignty
STOP THAT POS SICKNESS!
Overhaul the POS system.
my thoughts:
Allow only 5 Large POSES per system. The attacking faction has to bring down 3 pos from the defender to get sov. Guns only can be fitted on this POS. They are the so called 'deathstars'.
Medium / small POS: Allow max 10 med/small POS per system for Moonmining prodution only. These POS canŠt be destroyed until sov changes /drops. No weapons are allowed on this POS.
Overall this will make POS Wars more interesting. instead of anchoring POSses like hell. Maybe the attackers then get some fights. ;)
thats all so far from me. I apologise for my bad english.. have to train it a little bit i guess. ___________________________________________ A wise man said once: 'Violence is the escape of the mentaly poor guys.'

I like the idea of stacking penalties on nos. They should work like damage mods, so there is no use having more than 2 or 3. People dont even bother fighting certain ships in this game, because they know they will either be jammed or nossed to death. Such win buttons.

NOS is an energy weapon (WEAPON). Turn it on someone and you get the same response from concord as firing a full spread of missiles at them, what you saying next we want stacking penalty on how many launchers you fit on ravens ......

You are forgetting the new scanning system which ruins a good part of this game. _________________________________________________________

fine...put stacking penalites on nos, As long as the specialized ships are immunte to it. a nerf like this would royally screw over the Curse/Pilgrim
Which is the only ship I ever fit nos to.

Wrong. NOS donŠt do any DMG at all. they are like sensor damps. They just give you an advantage over your enemy. (edit: Damps got a stacking penality in place. Nosferathus are simply a Nothing to lose but everything to gain module since it doesnŠt requeire any cap and do not Stack)

I fully agree here. There are some special ships for EW (and NOS too), they should be special. atm the situtation with NOS is the same like chance based ECM.
@ishana i like the new scanning system. Probes are finally usefull from what i tested
I simply need the little systemmap back in my scannerwindow ___________________________________________ A wise man said once: 'Violence is the escape of the mentaly poor guys.'

I was pretty **** good at scanning befor kali tbh. but now it's just waaaaay to easy. Every one and his dog can do it. It completely ruins low sec. I'm not gonna go into detail, there are plenty of threads around discussing the problem. _________________________________________________________

Agree with the NOS statement.
Unless your in a ship faster than the guy with the NOS and you can still hit with guns at 11k+ then your almost forced to fit NOS.
Which kind of makes any short range ships almost useless.
NOS needs to be changed so that only ships like Curse and pilgrim (which i cant fly before anyone flames) have any point to fitting them.
This silly fit 4 or more NOS to me is rubbish.
I tried my preferd myridon config out vs corp mates ships and due to him having NOS changed to test out a gun NOS mix.
The gun NOS mix is by far more powerfull.
Shame but there you go.

They may not do damage but Concord views it as a hostile act and will fire accordingly. What you do loose is a high-slot thus loose fire power on most ships. Want to equip 2-3 nos's? You loose 2-3 turret or missile slots, there's your penalty. I wouldnt mind a stacking penalty but to say that there's no penalty now is misleading.

As far as NOS goes...if your capacitor is full...you shouldn't be able to "suck" anyone else's energy via nos. So if you have a full capacitor less 10 energy units. A heavy nos will only suck 10 energy units from the engaged target to "fill" your capacitor.

This wouldn't fix anything since in combat my cap is always running 50% and never more then 75%. If it wasn't then I'm not using it enough really.
Frankly I think Nos is fine. It has a really finite range. Ships fitting loads of Nos have no offense beyond drones. Drones can be killed. With the HP boost, drones are much more a liability.
That Nos can overpower pure DPS when the DPS is being used in the wrong situation seems like things working as they should since it brings variety and rewards reconaissance. Any PvP'er tries to avoid fighting what they don't know which is why we've put so much effort into figuring out standard ship setups.
If you're fighting a Nos domi in small ships then just dampen the hell out of it (there is more then 1 of you right?) and all that Nos is useless. Big ships? Fit smartbombs to blow the drones to hell and then it's just a flying offense-less ship.
