Likes: New character creation, makes new people more useful. New ships, cause new toys are always good. Warp to 0, travelling jsut got a little less tedious. Rigs, might need to be slightly easier to get a rig production going, but otherwise it's all good. Invention, like the idea but might need to be a little easier as well. New regions, all good, just wish they'd add a load of 01-0.4 space regions as well.
Dislike: Seemless map, too slow, just give me something that works without all the bling bling.

Don't understand the WCS nerf. Doesn't make sense to nerf something that counters and balances out another tactic.

I don't like the new map very much. I expect it was designed/implemented with one eye on the GFX update to come later. Even so, it's less usable than the previous incarnation, so a step backwards for me.
I love warp to 0. Really, it's a killer feature. I can safely say it was the main reason I reactivated my subs yesterday.

Seemless map
Starfield (It changes depending on your position on the mpa, for me it's like a massive cluster of stars on one side of the system since I'm on the outskirts)
Warp to 0km (Speeds up my travelling time)
Slight ECM nerf
Some of the new ships
Standings in local (Bye bye obscenely large buddy list )
WCS nerf
Dislikes:
HP buff
Warp to 0km (makes it easier to evade me )
T2 ammo (once again T2 weapons are just slightly better than best named )
HP buff
T2 ships having LESS HP than their T1 counterparts in some cases...WTF!?
Standings in local (makes scouting stupidly easy)
HP buff

Love: Contracts - can't get enough of them. I even trade between my alts in the same station using the contracts, don't care that it costs me 10,000 every time. It's worth it
Gangs - very nicely done
Hate: Warp to 0 - CCP sold out :(
New map - Even with animation set to "instant", every time i open the map it pivots, swings, rotates, doesn't whatever else before letting me use it... and when i need to quickly get back into the game, the map does the reverse. Very dangerous. Very annoying. And it keep unflattening. In other words: very inconvinient

CCP sold out? whatever dude, you are just upset cuz you can't kill someone who doesn't understand BM's. either way the reason for WTZ is quite simply to reduce game play problems such as lag. --------------------------- by: GinoShin on 21/11/2006 11:41:44 whats evemon is it like a jamican wiseman? |

okay let me try and paint a picture for yah. take Ginger Magician, he's a well known punk pirate who goes into high sec ganking new players, it's an exploit to evade concord, but Ginger does long range gank sniping with like 6 or 7 WCS's and just when concord shows up he'll just warp away. the WCS nerf was necessary. =) it's meant for courier and all.
Then boost the scramblers of concord, don't nerf.
And the assumption that WCS is just for courier is incorrect and illogical. There are scramblers, and there are stabilizers. It's not scramblers, and "courier stabilizers". If you're being scrambled, you're supposed to be able to counter with a stabilizer.
Now, you're penalized heavily for countering, while the scrambling is not.

But at the same time the "victim" can insta-warp anywhere in the system and assuming they've been clever and fit a couple of nanos, they should be able to turn and warp to 0 before the attacker can lock on and scramble.
If you're in a badger or iteron going through low sec/00 without an escort then that's your risk to take. if and when you get caught, that is your fault.

So I have spent most of the morning making suggestions (hope work isn't tracking my net use!) /whining/complaining depending on your point of view.
I just want to say that I do like the attempt at what rigs can do, but the implementation of salvage sucks.
I also LOVE the fact that you can no longer type after the chat character limit has been reached. THANK YOU!

Not sure what that has to do with the item balance. You're talking tactics and "ifs", not direct scramble vs. stab.
Having nanos and all that isn't part of the equation at all. It simply doesn't make sense to limit the counter to this type of action so severely.

Starfield is awesome and immersive. Clicking the map and seeing the starfield turn into the map makes me gleeful and makes the universe feel solid. It reinforces Eve's "one universe" concept.
New ships.
Standings in local chat.
More HP.
New character creation process.
Dislike:
Their implementation of... Everything. Everything they implemented is half assed and generally broken. The gang system, the wrecks (what a stupid screw up), the unoptimized optimizations, the map, even the new character creation process has (minor) bugs and that's an interface I could code myself when I was 14.
Unsure:
Warp to 0. I could think of other solutions to dissuade people from using instas. I like having warp to 0, but I don't know if it was a good choice for the bigger picture.
New chars with 800k sp. That's a bit much.
New gang system. It's a start but seriously, I hope that's not the final product because it's still garbage.
All in all, what feels like a beta that got released under the guise of a final product. I would have preferred that they solidify everything before adding more. We were promised massive bug fixes and optimizations and we got another house of cards.

Consent to PVP flag
Details: Overall: - Warp to zero is the big win but didnÆt require a major release - everything else is of mediocre value with some grave mistakes.
White Light Flash: û JUST SAY NO! ThereÆs no other way DEVsàtake this outànowàbefore someone gets hurt or has a seizureàor files a lawsuità
Wrecks: û this whole thing makes missions WAY too tedious as there is no way to tell what wrecks contain loot or have been searched. IÆm getting to the point after a few hours of play where I am just killing ships and moving on w/o looting because the time investment is too much. Try looting lvl III Mordus HeadhuntersàI almost went insane!!!! Even after I get salvaging trained, IÆll need to run mission and come back with another salvage cruiser before I turn the mission in to agent. Suggestions: different symbol when wreck contains loot different symbol when wreck has been looted rollback to old system of loot cans
WCS nerf: - what can I say û this is pure BS catering to the player rats, it is not a fix for high sec ganking as the OBVIOUS solution to that is to give Concord 100 points of scramble and watch them grind the ganking f*er into thin red paste. IMHO û CCP catered to Player rat/PvP bullies that want easy killing of other players SHAME on CCP û No PvP without consent!! Here are the suggested fixes for this situation: Rollback to pre-patch WCS (un-nerf them) Remove both scramblers and WCS from game (Poof! Magic!) Apply an equivalent or harsher penalty to scramblers PVP Consent flag (y/n)àIÆll deal with this in another thread so we stay on topicà
Thank you again for Warp To Zero and for fixing the can renaming/overview not refreshing bugàthose two are worth their weight in morphite!
Anyway thatÆs my opinion

Hates:
New map
Radar scanner taken away
White flash when you jump
Camera reset every jump
New skills (like we dont have enough frigging skills to train already, now I have to train more to do what I could do before, really poor idea and a bloody timesink that is starting to really **** me off)
Salvage - type of drops and number (I reall love the idea of salvage, alas I dont think it will be worth the time spent to get one rig worth of stuff, so far I spent around 8 hours game time to get around a third of a rig's worth - some types of component have not even dropped yet )
Contract system (I might get used to it, undecided yet, just seems alot of glitz where escrow was clear and easy to find what you wanted)
Likes:
HP boost
Exploration feature
Warp to 0
New content with some really good ideas
Everything else not mentioned above
Summary:
Props to CCP for thinking this out and giving us some really good content. I am hoping for some tweaks and shall then re-consider the above once they have been put into place.
I would really hope the point about new skills and the timesink caused is given some consideration. It sometimes feels like you just about get to where you want to be, only to find you just got shafted and have another few months of training to do to get you back to where you were. Not good.
Finally,
I hope CCP keep things simple, while the temptation is always there to make things look pretty, and add more and more features and options, one of the main things I like about EVE, and the thing that keeps me here, is functional way things work. I think we are starting to move away from that, again not good.

HP bonuses, warp to 0, all this crap to help people and they're still dumb. Thus, it helps me more ;) -STAB NERF! WOOOOO! Mother******* WOO! -Destroyer/Dictor/BC HP buff. With a ridiculous amount of HP over the normal buff, they're finally viable in battle. -New scanner. The little map being gone makes the scanner take up less space to see the name, description, and possibly distance of an enemy. -T2 nerf. I like it, I like having less of a gap and more situational usage of T2 stuff.
</3: -The map. I set it to instantly bring up, but it's still slower'n ****. And jittery while it reorients itself. -Rigs. I expected these to be something everyone can get, and easily, making every ship customized, and thus making PvP unpredictable again. Making them on par with faction items in terms of rarity is a sad thing indeed. -Invention. Incredibly hard and too much effort for too little gains. -New scanner. The loss of the little radar makes it tough to determine what you can and cannot see from your current scan spot. I like: - warp to 0 - rigs seem cool, tho I don't have one yet
I dislike: - WCS nerf is a bit too much imo... It was needed, yes, but now it seems overkill. - Warp to 0 doesn't always work (in case of stations, it sometimes drops me 1K from the station) - Bugged scanner (directional) - Bugged map (instant animation doesn't work, won't remember to flatten the map) - Lack of small map for directional scanner (yes, F11 exists now, but it's not the same) - Lame probing method (too easy).
