I think it's cool that autopilot is jumping to 15 km and not insta jumping. But I think there should be a way to tell it to activate the afterburner by itself. I don't see the logic of not having the possibility to let autopilot turn on autopilot whenever possible.

because they want you to play the game not set it to afk travel for you
if they had that they would want it to auto defend for when there is a high sec attacker
people will say
how come the ship doesn't activate my hardners for me when i am targeted. if its smart enough to activate an ab or mwd it can do that

True, but why not think of the reason people fly afk? The answer is simple: it's frickin' boring and a pain in the *ss. I frequently need to do 20+ jumps and even with instas it's so boring I end up making a travel setup (nano's, overdrives) and going afk.
How can it be fixed? I dunno, but if traveling wasn't so long and tedious I wouldn't be playing afk in the first place.

Do What I do when I want an AB or MicroWarp to work with autopilot afk. Grab a nice heavy weight (about 5lb. for my keyboard) and stick it on the F1 key. Walk away. Problem solved. :) |

sure RedLion it would be cool but it's not going to happen... the reason it doesn't is beceause that would mean that you can afk travel with AB active... if you want to travel faster you should do the piloting not the autopilot.
oh yeah the downside is that it will be extreamly boring.. especialy if you are in empire space. but look on it this way.. then you can go out and buy a cup of coffe and be back just as you enter the system you was traveling to
