I try to play it but all the video plays is the sound and the a green background for me.  Any clue on what the problem is?

You're missing the codec most likely.
Just google the K-lite Codec pack.

if i play it with winamp i get enormous lag and the sound stops in the middle of the trailer. pc does funny noises and the memory use uskyrockets to 100%.
if i play it with windows medai player everything is fine.
dont know what they done with it this time but all other trailers so far work good with both winamp and media player but this time its simply unplayable with winamp.

its awesome! seriously- looks waaay epic. hopefuly with factional warfare it'll actualy end up being this intense.... (i think that's what its called.. 56 hours of no sleep and no caffein makes for a very "out of it" posting expirience..

or i missed to switch the graphic engine after the last patch but i found no button for this :)

Actually it's the same graphic engine, but mostly using the new ships, which all have the latest artwork and highest quality textures (new BSs & BCs). It's still gameplay footage, but they did a good job of showing off their latest and greatest works while the less-impressive ships are kept in groups and not shown in as much detail, or moving faster. It's brilliant, really.

1st this new trailer is good.
...but..
..old "EVE Never Fades" one is still unbeaten.
New trailer is brutal but EVE does not looks like that. And it covered only fight part of EVE, while EVE Never Fades covered alot more aspects of EVE, and music was more pleasant.
Old trailer made me watch it more that 15 times, and made me proud of being part of something big and complex as EVE, but with this new one I can say only -it's big, loud and short.
Alot of BSG can be seen in new one, especialy that fast zooming moves, hehe
