What u think??.
iv been using megas and tachs, but i like having cap for ecm and shields.
I can squeeze 4 1200mm on with 2 launchers with torps.
These perform VERY well, but no1 i know that uses a scorp uses these.
I find using 4 launchers with torps to be pretty crappy, as i always lose 1 to splash dmg.
just thought id post to get folks views, and to really ask, why very few of u use them.

Use cruise missiles, 4 launchers and 1200's or 425's (after patch). Your gonna need tracking skills because the tracking on those guns is pretty bad.

Edited by: darth solo on 17/11/2003 11:55:01 dont u think that multiple launchers just trip over themselves, by that i mean if u are say, fighting alongside a raven, that hardly any of your torps/cruise hit?.
Iv checked my logs after each battle and it usually says, your torp hit torp doing 400 dmg .
u are rite about the tracking, so maybe i will train them to a higher degree.
The way i see it 425mm suck, tacks/megas SUCK cap.
when i use 1200mm i dont have to use lo slot cap relays, this now frees up slots for grav backups.
what do u recommend skill wise, rapid firing?.
I posted using my alt before, wasnt paying attention. ooops.

You should get in a postition so your missiles dont fly alongside your gang members missiles, fire from a different angle so that way they all hit.

have u ever been in a multiple fleet battle??.
I can hardly move, its a lag infested party.
Im lucky to even see whats happening, never mind position ma ship.
Im prefering guns at the mo. still like the torps though.
only large guns i can fit 4 of on the scorp are 1200mm, and no cap usage is rather nice.
rapid firng and prj skill trained up pretty good, mmmmm what else other than lo slot dmg mods?.

Ok, you posted accidently with your alt "solos woman", that is clear. But someone could (forcibly) misunderstand you and think you meant with your "accidently posted with my alt before" comment in your 1st message as darth vegetas posting.
And therefore deduct: Vegeta = your alt.

they hit ok.
i would prob just go back to 2 tachs and 4 launchers, rather than use the 425mm, iv never been keen on them.
maybe after next patch ill have a looksee.
Its usually fleet battles im in anyways, its ma ecm that wins fights. having the 1200mm might just add a little punch.
Nothing sucks more than losing cap in a long battle:).

PVP
2 mega-beams with multi's, 3 siege launchers with cruises and a decent H-50 which you can use for torps/defenders/F.o.F's - I've been getting some 720 wrecking hits with the mega-beams with Energy Turret 4 and 1 Extruded in a lo-slot (plus any other 3 lo-slot modules).
They regularly hit for 280-320 each every 6.2 secs between 5km and 20km and have decent enough tracking considering Scorps tend to get in close.
Med-slots you can do what you like. Tank it, sensor dampening, specific ECM, tracking support for long-range Tempest bombarding, etc etc.
NPC
4 1200mm's + 2 H-50's with defenders (assuming the NPC you fight use missiles).
3 tac shields (heat, em, exp), 2 opticals, 1 shield amp, 1 c5-l, 1 mwd.
2 counterbalanced, 2 cap relays.

4 1200mm and 2 H-50s for NPCs?
I don't fly Scorps (a day and some change away) but from a projectile + bship standpoint, npcs are fully demolishable in even a full PvP setup.
Why not pack the load for PvP, just in case? Maybe when npc bships come around, separating NPC kit from PvP kit might be necessary again. But even at 30km, NPCs barely rate scratches on my shields on a Tempest. That's with tasking a turret to each NPC (4 being helpful but optional). With defenders stopping the real npc damage, you lost me on the setup.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

I tend to use 3x h-50's and 3x 1400mm's as they give the best balance between hit for hit power and fluctuating power. Although depending on if you plan on using jammers or plainly tanking than it's a different story. If you plan on jamming then you can easily swap those for mega beams as you'll be concentrating less on keeping your shields going, and more on damage, if you are shield tanking though, i'd use them over any other gun. Kill NPCs with 2 mega beams? Hmm. Should be a lil' slow.
