Do you still get the message ôyou can not warp because you are warp jammedö I just lost a rather expensive ship and mods in one of coplexÆs within empire. I decided to warp out in good time but every time I hit autopilot all I got was ôAuto pilot engagedö followed by ôautopilot disabledö I had a destination set so why did my ship not warp? I had already killed all the frigs and the few that were left were easy pickings. Has something changed with the new patch or should I submit a petition . Ship lost was in a cerb with mods totalling 1billion isk!

You still get the message. But I bet during the heat of a mission, the message lasts like half a second.
Use manual warp, not autopilot as the ship voice tells you you can't warp due to scramble, and not just 'autopilot disabled' ------

Ohh and just for refference, if you want to know what rats scramble and what rats don't, bookmark this post by TomB. Linkage
The names are not exact for complex rats but they follow the same naming convention. Ie. named elites have the same last part of the name, just a different first, and they do the same special actions. Kill them first. ------

Also, is it just me or is there now a visual graphic for warp scrambling now? A blueish tube, though easier to see than most other visual cues.

Which most people need to disable to PvP. So useful.
Yes, we need UI indicators for being the target of various effects. No, don't hold your breath.

OK. First of all I had fraps running but looking back it cuts off before I lost my ship, could this of been cos I lost connection? Second thing is that I was doing no damage to any ncpÆs for a while so this + the above looks like lagg or connection lost. (Connection loss is not something I get often).
I made a note of the time and I guess its worth a petition.
One other thing is when I warped in there was 2 other players in the plex but they warped out shortly before me, could they have done something or had a covert opps ship??
I know the saying ôdonÆt fly it if you canÆt afford to loose itö and although IÆm not loaded IÆm happy to loose fair and square but I think some thing was not quite right.

Complexes do warp scramble, and the message dissapears the second the next message (such as "[enemy] strikes you for eleventy billion damage!"), so best bet is that you were scrambled by a NPC like usual.
As said, use manual warp because then you get a shiny audio warning. AFAIK, with AP you don't and only get the "Autopilot disabled" message. -----------------------------------------------

Sorry for your loss,
1) check your combat log. IIRC when someone starts to warp scramble there is an entry in there 2) autopilot may have been disengaging due to an incorrect destination... 3) ...or cos of traffic issues 4) It is best to always align, and remember that if you are only sort of aligned, and also using a propulsion mod (AB/MWD) it can take an age to turn that last little bit to warp out. 5) You always stop doing any sort of useful damage once you attempt to warp out. You can activate your modules, watch your missiles go into the target, but they will always hit for no damage if you are actually attempting to warp out. This is not a bug, its the way its meant to be.
To me it sounds like you were attempting to warp out, but were sort of closely aligned and it was therefore taking an age to get out of the belt. If you were actually scrambled then the warping out process should have been canceled, and therefore you missiles would have started to do damage again. As your missiles were hitting, but not for damage, it sounds like your ship was trying to align.
Could still be some sort of bug, but above explains how it normally should work imo :)
