I'm just curious if there is further info about this Crow model that Sarmatiko leaked from Sisi back in the day before crucible.
I know it was a test version of the skin (so maybe not related at all to the crow) but as a sad capsuleer unable to fly the awesome dragonfly or mantis skins, this would somewhat alleviate my inner nerd  |

I would train Caldari frig to 5 just for that model. Haven't heard anything about it though since CCP said it was fan made, and then confirmed it was a test model.
Just like to point out though, it's a remodel, a reskin is just the change of a texture, which the Crow we have now got with the V3 update.

Just thought I'd simplify the discussion, there is test model. I personallly prefer the current model, but since I don't fly Caldari I am more then willing to not whine about an awesome, classic, assymetric model being ditched for a boring bland general sci-fi one.

Tbh the *Crow* title it's because Sarmatiko found it as a skin over such ships, as far i know that could be a kind of placeholder for a let's say tier 2 Destroyer (would be awesome too a whole new tier of dessies)
All i'm asking it's for the model *destiny* as i personally love that design similar to the Mantis bomber, even if this end as a whole different thing than a crow or a dessie as long i'm able to fly it.
P.S: the overall design seems to be close to the frig size vessels for caldari, cruiser size as much but doubtfull |

That crow model did not get approved for this patch the largest factor behind it is probably the fact they are going to explore the possibility of missile turrets.

It may just be me but I don't find that model anymore good looking than the current one. Way to un-spaceshipy and looks more like somekind of short-range fighter from let's say stargate sg-1 than something eve.
Also, hard-modelled missile turrets are probably out of fashion now that CCP are trying to figure out how the **** to do missile turrets. |

I think it should be like the drake's built in launchers, in that they pop up from the hull and aren't actually a turret. Or maybe they could just sit on the hardpoint.

You definitely have a point there.
If the missile turret are given the go ahead its just another project that the art team is going to have to work on.
All this would do is eat up time that IMHO could be better spent popping out new toys for us to explode.
I also remember reading a while back that the missiles are tracked individually, which was part of the reason they introduced the turret stacking so as to reduce the number of objects, thus lowering the amount of data being handled by the server in large engagements.

Right now every active EVE player have this model in the current Crucible client because CCP forgot to delete it from release patch. 
Anyone interested can use TriExporter (get latest version from eve-files) to view Crow model located at :res/dx9/model/ship/caldari/cf2_a
Assuming that next AT prizes will be for Caldari faction (and Merlin is too cool for redesign) - that Crow may be the next prize frigate.

Missiles are just basically creating a suicide npc ship in space. Which is why its so problematic. The fact that they eat up so much of the system inventory for thier short life spans unlike probes or drones is one of the major problems surrounding missiles.

Hmm last year it was amamrian, the year before gallente, ... wasnt it caldari during 7? I swear minmatar are overdue for one.

Most of the prize models that I have seen have been variations on the original design. I don't see why CCP would change that tradition.
