it is when your ship gets destroyed u go into a pod podding is the destruction of this pod

Podding is when sombody destroys your ship and then desroys the escape pod killing your character. Hence the need for clones.

Ive heard of this thing "podding". It sounds a little extreme.
I like chocolate milk, milkshakes, regular milk, money, and chicks with big racks

Podding is very useful.
I was doing some 'aggresive trading' which unfortunately lowered my security rating to -5.9
Later my ship was destroyed by some nasty people who stupidly thought I was a pirate!
Now, I needed to get to my agent so they could put in a word for me with Concord as obviously a nice guy like me shouldn't have such a low security rating ... unfortunately my favorite agent was the other side of 1.0 space and I was looking at a long old flight to see her.
So I nipped into a local station, set my clone point to my agents station and undocked in my egg.
Predictably a few seconds later the misguided souls who had destroyed my ship (netting me only a marginal profit on the insurance), busted my egg open.
Perfect.
Clone activated in my agents station, 1hr later I am flying a nice new ship with a -1.1 security rating.
Concord are so reasonable when you present a well thought out case .. although I'm sure the isk helps too.

wouldn't it make more sense to say that 'podding' is being forced into your pod (ie..ship destroyed), and that pod killing is exactly that (killing your pod)?
That's the way I use the word 'podding' because it makes sense to me.

i agree with toasters usage.
However common usage dictates definition and i now see "podding" as podkilling.
So what is it when just your ship gets blown up? Blowing?
eg.. i heard that x pirates were good blowers? hmmm

podding : taking the wrong exit, by sample when your ship blow up due to some strange internal damage, if you click self destruct on you Escape emergeny Pod module you will have a strange feeling of frost and empty space when opening the door and looking around.

to be "podded" is to be put in a pod, eg, your ship destroyed.
having a pod blown up is being killed (literally)

Podded means your in a nice new clone. And has meant that since the early ages of Beta
