Main PC OB Strike platform is Ammar Destroyer with Lasers and OB Crystals Second is Catalyst and Rail Guns with OB Rail Ammo
What is not used at all Projectile Guns and OB FLUX AMMO What i want is this To use Projectile Guns and Flux ammo to hurt Enemy MCC Shields. Now how do we make this happen and how much damage to shields per strike and frequency of strikes?
Has anyone ever tried shooting a PC Flux Destroyer from space strike at a Enemy MCC? Does it already hurt the shields and we don't know it? |

I don't know the answer to your question of whether anyone has tried to call an OB on an MCC. That would be game breaking I expect.
I have a question though - How many ships can orbit a district beacon, connect to district and be OB capable at the same time? |

To answer Luther's question: Flux ob is used by some corporations as a method to 'scrubbing' links and other equipment. Flux OB does not do damage to MCC's, I've tested it before. Flux OB damage to shields would be very overpowered as Null Cannons take a good amount of time to drop shields. It would result in teams no longer running for objectives until shields were downed by eve orbital.
To answer Diametrix's question: You can have as many ships as you want orbitting the satellite, locking the satellite, and being OB capable at the same time, however, only one can fire every three minutes.
See you gentlemen soon.
TLDR Edition: Flux damage to mcc results in more eve ships dying and less Dust514 effort. Only one orbital ship may fire even though you have 100 of them on satellite.

So We could have a Laser Ob ship, a Projectile Flux ob ship and a Rail Ob ship .We could communicate with the ground forces if we are in the same Eve channel .They could ask for a flux and the request will show up at all three ships and the Flux pilot must take the shot.
What is the largest amount of small guns we could have on a ship? 8 on destroyer is there a ship that could hold more? |

What if one strike did the damage of one nul cannon strike. How many 3 minute strikes could we take?No more than 6 maybe . How much damage is 6 nul cannon hits to the mcc? |

Imo planetary conquest fights are not supposed to be fair. EVE certainly isn't, so why should Dust be? These aren't even pubs.
EVE support is supposed to be a massive advantage. It is, after all "One War" as the silly catch phrase likes to put it.
I imagine if you gave Flux OB support the ability to damage shields by around 2 ticks per shot it would remain a balanced option. Currently, the alternative could be used to stop an attempted enemy hack on a point which can result in far more ticks being done throughout the match.
Short term gain vs long term gain. |

The best idea would be to get rid of the current method of delivery, replace it with a single module (like a doomsday but for orbitals) capable of fitting different ammo types.
This module would now make all ships viable for Orbital Bombardments without the need to create more orbital ammo for different ship sizes.
Although all this talk is upon deaf ears I think. Since I'm pretty sure dust and eve haven't collaborated together for a long time as far as developers go. |

The best way to have options available during a PC match is to have three destroyers in orbit, on the link, each with the respective ammo. This way you can provide the type of strike being requested by the ground troops. |
