Hello,
First i'd say i have CCU5 and i want to stick with P2 products. I'm very new to PI and i dont understand the process. I basically just followed a youtube video from a random guy to put my setup.
I'm currently running ECU X2 with 4 Heads on a 12 hours cycle, 2x2 Basic facilities and 2 advanced facilities. it works really well. I can do 25M/day with 6 planets in low sec, wich is nice from my point of view considering the low effort involved.
However, i think i could run 6 basics and 3 Advanced with my skills (CCU5) according to a reddit post i read (forgot the link) With my current setup, i have 4K pw that are not used...tried to run 6 basics + 3 advanced but they appear to not getting filled enough with P0 with 4 heads (cant put come heads)
So my questions:
How much P0 do i need to extract on each ECU to fill 3 advanced facilities? How many ECU heads needed? What cycle time on my ECU should i need to run?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Note that to start you need twice the amount to fill the input queues as well.
I tended to run 3 day cycles. That's about as often as I wanted to bother with it.

Basically what he said. I will add that I personally like to run mine with cycle times of two weeks, and stop them and restart them every so often when I remember to. You get large amounts the first couple days, dwindling down to almost nothing, so so long as you restart it, you'll keep getting the higher amounts until the resource is exhausted. It also has the added advantage that if you do forget to reset them for a while, you'll still be getting some resources, even if not much.
That's my theory on it anyway. Can't say I have any hard experimentation to say it works better or worse than shorter cycles, but it works for me |

Thanks for reply.
So i need 9000 P0/hour to fill 3 advanced facilities? if yes, well i tried on all my planets but i cant get that number, even with 4 heads on my ECU (cant install more heads) max i can get is around 7500 P0/hour how do you run 6 basics and 3 advanced? |

You can get more items in your configuration by using smaller planets and smaller links. Links use power and CPU just like extractors and processors. Gas planets are huge and their links take up massive amounts of power and grid.
Also the lower the security space the more resources are present. Null and JSpace have the most resources therefore they require fewer extractor heads to accomplish the same amount of material input.
On some of my factory planets I have 14 Basics and 7 Advanced, plus a launchpad and storage silo. So it can be done, you just have to build things very close to each other.

Apologies for sounding like a dummy, but quick question regarding POCO Tax :
Are taxes set on POCO's variable for different users? I have always thought it made sense if Alliance / Corp members got privileged rates compared to 'outsiders' but never actually knew if that was the case.
Another question to be added for when I am 'interviewing' a new corp. |

Use 2 silos and pull one material per cycle, you get more heads since you run only 1 ecu. Should work fine since you run fast cycles. |

i'm relatively sure you can set taxes based on standings |

There are several variables to this question.
Interbus Tax - This tax is set at 10% and is reduced by the Customs Code Expertise skill. It can be reduced to 5%. This tax is added on top of any tax the player owned corporation sets. Only Highsec POCOs are affected by this.
Corp/Alliance Tax - You can set the tax that the owning corp pays. By default only the owning corp has access to the POCO. If you check the box that says "Alliance Tax" then anyone in the alliance can access the POCO. These two taxes can be set differently if wanted.
Allow Access with Standings - This must be checked if anyone outside the corp/alliance will be accessing the POCO. The owning corp can set a tax rate for Red, Orange, Grey, Light Blue, and Blue. They can also deny access to any of those standing colors if they want.
Hope this helped, KL |
