Kozak Caldari Species 5618 Ascendant Frontier	Posted - 2006.12.04 20:56:00 - [1] Is there anyone commentating that does not hate ASCN? Last tournament, ASCN and I were blasted for using a "boring" setup. I was the only using this setup in the first tourney, which we almost won and in the second tourney, which my team did not loose (inty fights suck). Now, atleast half the other teams are using NOS setups and (especially the 5 who copies our setup ship for ship), yet they are all treated as innovating and doing a great job. WTF. This biased crap **es me off. God dammit, just needed to rant a little. I hate those *****s.

The evetv tournament team treats everyone as best they can, I think, and it is a finite number of people, 2-4 at a time, who have their own opinions. But to be honest, your guys setup is one of the most solid out there. EXM had to specifically setup for you guys, and even then they barely came out with a win. We tried to specifically setup for you, and we lost. So yeah, don't listen to them. Just do me a favor and lose to star fraction so we can at least make the last 3 matches of our bracket interesting.

Never meeet him in game but checked his employement and he was in the 5 allaince for long. Some allainces ( actually only bob comes to mind) might have swooped the floor at times with Norad but actually the 5 each time they came to visit with a fleet each time they were returning back in pods .... In last years final we both got slammed, Chris. This year we've had various comments about being too "defensive" once more, not to set apart the various comments we get on the forums. (in your own way) Kozak your team has gotten plenty of compliments including being named along with only BOB as having produced very good, winning teams consistently. I complimented your Hyperion, and thought it was gutsy to use a ship like when good setups are still being experimented with. But Kozak, you make the commentatory job hard because your tactics never change and some people (not the eve tv crew) don't think your fights are the most exciting to watch. While I do agree that alot of teams are COPYING ASCN's tactics from the last time, your tactics didn't work in your last fight with Exquisite Malevolance and it was exciting to see an underdog overcome a heavy favorite. Kozak, we lub you, we try to have fun, and everyone (including myself and my alliance) have had unfavorable things said about them, usually in a jocular fashion. Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me

But the commentators are like that because they are from alliances and have their own "biased" opinions. For Example BoB should be more Slanted because of the stunts they pulled last tournament. Soo afriad of team ASCN last tourne used the Huggin setup because there like that. And after ASCN get slanted owe its boring and they turn to Bob and say WOW o boy there amazing... They disliked us so much that they didn't even bother paying attention to what was going on in most of the matches. They didn't even notice we had a huggin that was webbing everything until the 4th match. Whenever we won, they had such a bitter, dissatisfied expression on their faces and the words almost had to be forced from their lips. When we finally lost to Morsus Mihi in the semifinals, Ifni had this huge, happy grin on his face. Go ahead and look for it. He looks like he is about to explode from joy and litter the set with a mess of confetti while balloons rise up from the floor. In this tournament it isn't quite as prevalent, but it is still noticeably present. Last tournament commentators were slagging us for our apparently low damage (it was actually pretty high, but we went against a lot of tanking teams) and high reliance on mutual support and teamwork. This year we decided to toss that and run into the ring gung-ho crazy screaming like lunatics, and their complaints are that we didn't focus enough on teamwork and mutual support. The quality of commentary is getting better, the bias isn't quite as heavy this year, but I would at least like some consistency in their commentary. Slagging one team for doing A and congratulating another team for being innovative and doing A is very hard to understand, but I see it a lot.

They've fielded the most boring setup in the tourney (though it's effective, I can't deny that), and they cry at every mention of their name. The setup is simply no fun to watch, and while that not be your biggest concern, it IS EveTV's. EveTV are offensive about everyone they basically can, and it's usually funny (I'm not even in the tournament, and I got told I sucked). John McCreedy has made himself a reputation as Baghdad BoB and if he can't cope with a couple of jokes at his expense, I think it's time he stepped out of the public eye. Heading here and whining and *****ing every time your name is mentioned just ferments more hostility (and gives everyone another thing to laugh at). Ath Amon	Posted - 2006.12.06 10:23:00 - [29] I will not say that you didn't lose as i think ascn was quite lucky to reach finals... you lost a match in qualification (against more innovatime smash) and draw another one... even in semi MC team was more interesting and stronger and was just by their fault that ASCN won... now said the bad things i must also say that you have done a very good job as a team, very solid, pilots that doesn't panic and do their job extremely well. (imo the strong point of this team are pilots more than strategy itself) I think is quite natural that some critics can be done for the lack of innovation in the last 2 tourneys, some so and so performance and the high defensive strategy... as you i will not be that worried... in the end is your strategy, a bit boring to watch but quite effective... as you proceed in the tournament i don't see anything bad in it

Nos battleship, the impoc, but still a nos battleship, comand ship for bonuses and damage t2 cruiser and some frigates. It's not Kozak's setup that is boring, is the other team that fields a huggin that is :P. I haven't seen The 5 so I'll take Kosaks word for it. It was CNR's and missles that worked in the last tournament, and Kozak was the only one who had a working setup that was not CNR and missles. I was realy surprised that Bob in the final held the range, especialy after MC showed that the Eos can be taken down. The round would me more fun if we could see what goes on inside the team, the range the ships are at from each other, who missed a cycle and all that. We wouldn't have known that the MC's curse died because it was at 40km from the CNR and so it was not repped if Seleen wouldn't have told us. We can't see that, and experienced pvpers that understand that stuff from the outsied is what is needed. It's no shame in admitting you have never flown a roket crow and you have no ideea why ther's a rail on it. So we have missles or nos and damps (or all three, BE) + the bumping. Kozak is the one thinking outside the box because he was doing it from the first tournament and the others are copying it now. Kozak wa either realy lucky to reach the finels both times or he knows what he is doing!
