In the short term, maybe a revamp to FW plexing, in a positive way somehow.
Long term, EVE goes compatible with augmented reality head-sets, as AR improves anyway.

Mid-long term: player branding. With high money and research investment, huge mega-alliances should be able to produce their very own faction stuff. Economical power shouldn't stem from raw resources like moongoo, but from high tech inventions that only you can produce and market.
Long term: planet population and changing planetary landscapes. I would be much more emotionally attached to my home system if it wasn't just another bunch of generic planets and moons, but if the planets had some unique cities and landscapes that set them apart from any other system. Vanity only, doesn't have to have any gameplay impact- I'm thinking more about the palace-building feature in the old Civ games. Invest ISK to make your planets look cooler than the rest.
I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it.
Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Lots of things:
(from an industrial perspective)
1: The total removal of all static asteroid belts and replace them with anomolies (this makes mining much less repetative and would require miners to move around to mine) -- of course to balance this we would need many more ore anoms to feed the legions of miners out there.
2: The ability to use combat probes to scan down wrecks in a system from recent missions, signatures, anoms.. etc I dislike waste, especially when it comes to people just leaving all the wrecks behind (plus its a nice side career for anyone who wants to salvage)
3: The ability to orbital strike and destroy enemy PI facilities on planets (war required in highsec). Following from that, the ability for people to co-operate with their PI facilities. Sharing the CPU and Power output from two (or more) command centres (but still one command centre per character) This will make PI much more competative, and PVP orientated, as well have having the ability for groups of players, corps and alliances to make the most from their planets co-operately
(from a PVE//PVP perspective) 1: more mission varients (repeats are boring) [If CCP is bored writing the scripts for missions, give the ability to the players to come up with ideas and submit them to CCP]
2: consistent and more frequent live events, which have large impacts on the eve universe. For example: currently we have the drifter incursion -- don't just make them a new varient of incursions (like sansha) but instead, make it so that the empires themselves cannot defeat the Drifters, but capsuleers are called upon by the empires to help destroy the drifter threat.. --- If capsuleers decide to help: drifter forces are pushed back and some sort of reward (maybe LP?) is given to pilots. After defeat of drifters, celebrations all over New Eden. We learn about their origins and intentions, and are given access to new types of technology (maybe introduction to player owned stargates and other game changing deployables) --- If capsuleers decide NOT to help: slowly the empires begin to lose more and more territory to the drifters, services such as stations, go offline (not destroyed) and lots of other bad stuff which hasn't been thought out yet, but the idea is that it will change the landscape of New Eden
As another, unrelated example: During FW, if a system which is contested between two empires, the CURRENT holding empire of that system spawns NPC Military forces around stations, stargates etc... and they are a significant threat to anyone from the opposing empire. If during FW one empire totally takes control of all contested systems, the war should esculate. we should begin to see more NPC vs NPC action on the battlefield as the losing empire attempts to regain control of the situation... Think if the Amarr Empire took control of the Minmatar... and began enslaving them again, the Gallente wouldn't be pleased and potentially starts a campaign to free the Minmatar.... This idea would create content in the game, as well as feed New Lore, storyline and also new Scope Videos
I can potentially think of many more ideas on the spot.. but I'd love to see some game changing things happen, that does NOT have to do with a new update with a new game changing ship (T3 Destroyers) or new game changing deployables.. but rather the game changes depending on the politics and news of the game, with players having a more direct control to potentially change the outcome of events |

While gankers lives could certainly stand to be made a bit easier, making it that easy for them would probably be a bit too much.

All of the above, especially in regards to Orbital Strikes on war dec'd P.I. installations. Make it with a reinforce mode like mobile depots to encourage conflict, so it's not just about hit and run but about show up and defend.

Dear EVE developers.
Just make new gamers 7-day protection protocol. Do it.
Its really sad that pirates can kill you everywhere, even in hi-sectors. If old players can fight back, new - can't.
But, limit protocol 7 opportunities, old gamers could use them to transit goods without being attacked by pirates. So limit transit. And disable this protocol, if newies initiating somebodies attack on some period of time.
Its hard to play new players. When these assholes kills them, people stop play this game, because they have lost most of they got.
Best regards, new EVE player. |

Maybe.. How do you mean exactly??
I do believe the NPC corporations and empires need to have a larger impact in the game.. example: If you have a -5.00 or less standing to NPC Corp X.... then you cannot dock at their stations, and the guns surrounding the station will open fire upon you
If you are enemy of a specific empire either because of FW or due to standings, entering the territory of that specific empire will have much more crushing conseqences. The empire's military should be more efficient at scramming, webbing and killing you than they currently are imo... |

I don't intend to get involved with faction wars, not unless you can work for pirate factions.
If you could do FW for pirates then I'd expect Minmatar, Gallente, Caldari and Amarr standing to drop, that combined with a likely security status of -10 would probably mean there would be no place to dock which in turn means there would be no fun in roaming high-sec.
I'm located in high-sec at the moment and as such do very little there as most of what I could do would increase Minmatar, Gallente, Caldari or Amarr rep.
High-sec is a weird place, it's a PvP game yet it seems more like a PvE area that has some awkward PvP attached to it.
I know CODE get a lot of stick over what they do and I don't actually agree with their style of PvP, but the way high-sec is set up I can understand them.
I have/am considering fitting smartbombs to a ship going to a stargate and using them. Alternatively just shoot at an NPC ship at a gate and see what it does to my standing. |

Short term: Sov tweaking, better system management, better structure management, more user friendly UI (for some modules more than others, such as the corp/alliance menus). Black Ops balance. Hacking/archea rework.
Long term: T3 reworks (complete, not just tweaks), physX/other eye candy, WiS, cap reworks, eve-o forum revamp (Self moderation, such as karma systems, an ISD that actually works, active troll/thread derail bans (you know who you are, there's a good reason we use reddit for actual constructive discussion for this game these days)). Complete system wide structure revamp, POS shield removal. |

1. Make system sec status variable. The more a system gets used, it climbs in sec status. Make it so the total number stays static. Nul sec system A goes from -0.7 to -0.6, system B goes from -0.6 to -0.7. FW contested systems and 'newbie' systems remain static. I think it would be interesting to see systems drop in and out of low sec and I believe markets would move around some over time. 2. NPC corps should behave a little more like player owned corps. NPC corps should, from time to time, declare war on each other. Work it into lore so it's protecting the vital interest of the company, yadda-yadda-yadda. Make all NPC corps 'joinable', even pirate factions with benefits AND PROBLEMS that go with it. More players would more to player corps or it might be fun to stay in a NPC corp depending on how it's implemented. 3. Roving agents. Some agents have their own space ships, but they are parked in the same spot all the time like they live in a trailer or something. Some could move around, some could visit relatives in nul or wormhole space, some could be like travelling salesmen, who knows, but it would open up at least some new and different missions instead of running the same ones over and over. Something different in your normal mission running system. Some could even be con-men?
