That's right - I'm configuring an Indy for speed.
I run a lot of agent missions, and with level 3 agents I'm often asked to carry about 1000 cubic metres of stuff. That only fits in an Indy.
But it fits in any Indy, regardless of configuration, so I'm outfitting an Indy for speed. At first, since I knew I didn't need a ton of hauling capacity, I figured I'd try a low-end Indy (a Badger, actually - I use a Mammoth for my regular hauling), but it lacked suffienct slots for overdrive injectors, and couldn't load up on afterburners.
So now I'm using a Bestower (4 overdrive injectors, 3 afterburners, 1 shield booster), and my max sustainable speed is about 640 m/s (with about 2500 cargo - more than enough for my purposes).
But, since I don't seem able to accurately work out what configurations will work before I try them (see my failed Badger experiment), any suggestions on better options would be appreciated.

you can fit a MWD on a bestower.

Put some RCU 1s in the low slot to fit the MWD you should be ok with that.

Fast indys:
Bestower or Iteron 5 with a MWD
Bestower, Iteron 5, or Mammoth with ABs and overdrives
Scorpion with 4 good cargo expanders and 4 MWDS
(Ok, not an indy, but it WILL carry 1k+ cargo REALLY fast!  )

A properly configured mammoth can run at over 800ms, sustained.
And I'd rather run a blockade in a mammoth, with its armor and hull, than in one of those papier mache bestower hulls any day of the week.

At work now so i dont got any crrect figures, but my iteron MkV is quite impressive fitted with five good afterburners and five good nanofibers...
If you opt for pure speed and change the nanofibers to injectors you will get about 16-1700 cargo and about 2500 m/s topspeed depending on the quality of the modules...
My personal record is almost 3k m/s if i'm not mistaken

The skill Acceleration Control will boost your speed enormously with afterburners. With 2 OD and 4 ABs I hit a sustainable 893m/s in my Badger II.

why not use a bs with 2 or 3 expanders?
then u can use 2 or even 3 mwd

yes, a armageddeon ahs the largest cargo posible (8 low slots) and 3 med slots....ive trid 2 mwd, u go bout 10 km w/o the expadner, maybe u will go 12km a sec with 3 and the cargo expanders

I use a Bestower as fast bulk transport, Get up to 1055m/s with 4 afterburners, 4 od's
nav L4 acc control L3
hold ~2600
ofc this is a Empire space config.

try a bestower with 4 afterburners (perferably pirate), and accelleration control 4, and 4 30+m/s overdrives... plenty of speed

I have my mammoth above 1200m/s with 3 od and 4 AB:s
and i can keep it running for loooong time
That speed will take u thru most blockades.
There can be only one!

you should go well over 3km/s then
best i did with a mammoth is close to 2km/s
