Cant move the camera around at all when this happens.Has been going to this quite often now. Seems pretty random, but sometimes it will happen directly after a warp. If im lucky it fixes itself, but i usually have to dock to return the camera to normal. Any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Not running dual core

Edited by: Lunachan on 06/12/2006 05:17:13 I get the same problem constantly....drives me nuts. Especially on ops.
Although, I must admit it only seems to happen whilst on TS.
Anyone know something about the problem?

Could you provide a bit more description of the problem? Obviously I can't see your ship in the image, but what happens when this occurs? Does the ship just vanish? Does the camera actually move? Any other details you notice could be helpful.

What happens is everything in space goes to that 1 spot on the screen and the camera cannot be moved at all.

I would start off by clearing your cache. If that doesn't work, you'd probably have to use logserver to see what happens right when the problem occurs.
As far as work-arounds go, you might try changing resolutions or switching between window and full-screen modes. Those might reinitialize the camera back to where it's supposed to be. You might also try selecting something in the overview and then using the "look at" function, and of course there's also the reset camera option.

Ive tried switching resolutions and widescreen which didnt work, and 'look at' and reset camera do not work.
I'll try the other things you suggested. Thanks for the help

Thanks here also for the reply. (i get the same problem)
The camera seems to recede to an extreme distance and can't be reset. Removing cache, or even a full reinstall changes nothing. For me it seems to be a problem when using TS. How about you Zandri?

if that only happens that you use TS it might be some of similar problem i always had than using TS ...
My Solution: Teamspeak -> Option
somethere you can select DirectSound or Wave or something like that ( dont have TS here at work atm) ... so just select the other Sound methode and try again ...
