I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned or even suggested. Would it not be convenient to have a section on eve-online.com where you can login to a specific char and view your wallet size/journal, and change skills?
It happens every so often that you have to go away somewhere for a few days, maybe for most of a day. And you realize your current skill should be completed, the problem is you don't have an eve client handy, so you can't set your next skill on the fryer. Perhaps you play the market a lot, and want to check up on your current contract information, wallet, etc.
Just a thought.

You can already see how much isk you have and your skill sheet, but you can't change your training skill. They've said specifically that they don't intend to add these features to the website at any point in time, but a small eve client that can be run on mobile windows devices is in the works that lets you do about anything you can do in a station. Trade/move items, chat, change skills, maybe jump clone, etc. Dunno about fitting ships though. -----

They will not implement changing skills through your character sheet on eve-online.com. Will just trigger too much accounts that only train chars for selling them later (controlled by macro's). CCP wants you to LOG IN to EVE and get busy.... not just use it through your internet browser.

They have/had a prototype based on Windows Mobile 5.
It was stated lately, that its development was on hold until CCP had a better overview on possible security implications for Eve and how to fix it.
Read: Delayed due to possibility of macro-ing ;)
