Blonde Prince	Posted - 2006.12.07 04:44:00 - [1] Hi I was flying thorugh bob space the other day then then I came to a gatecamp and I said to them HI GUYS I'M NEUTRAL and so they said HI WE WONT SHOOT YOU LOL and then I warped to the gate and there we nine million battle ships and a titan and seventyteen interceptors and they killed me. I feel that the best way to deal with this, rather than getting even or getting over it would be to come onto the forums and cry about it for a while. Thank you. -This is my main

I'd suggest you read up on the actual policies of the various powers within 0.0 when ever possible. My own understanding is BoB, ASCN and quite a few others have a a KOS policy for anyone who isnt blue. Which means if your 'neutral' your not blue. It why generally when ever I'm zipping bout 0.0 I tend to check with the powers that be as to what their policy is. And you often see stuff/hear stuff about people being poped by the 'powers that be' in 0.0. Cases where people say 'sure we wont shoot you' and then sure enough they do anyway. ASCN does it, BOB does it, LV does it, most powers I've come across in 0.0 do. Not ALL of them do sure. It's still true though that this kinda thing happens. Though I hear more about it ingame than on the forums. And I've found alot of it comes from folk not actually talking to the real higher ups ahead of time. Alot of it, like the constant poping up of threads that waaa X podded me, or waa X cant be trusted is purely because people are misinformed about the realities of EVE. Also as for Mr. DOom and gloom darkages. Technically speaking Humanity never left it. Just the technology advanced. As a whole the human race is greedy, selfish, jealous and cant be trusted. That doesnt mean -everyone- is like that but there are more than enough people that do to one degree or another fall into one or multiple catagories, even if it's unintentional or what have you. Though all of this does bring into question the idea of perhaps CPP should actually put in a 'newbie' forum section. Thank you. -This is my main Sorry I bussted up laughing from your post. It seems very obvious you've never spent a lot of time in 0.0 before. Jumping into a 0.0 system with a lot of pilots in it and anouncing I'm neutral just paints a giant target on youself. Your best bet when in 0.0 with neutrals and a lot of people in local is to remain quiet and you might be able to slip through unoticed, though less likely now with standing showing in local. There's only two types of neutrals I know of that can make it through 0.0 with a decent chance of not getting popped. And that's ISD, and Inominate Nightmare. Anyways thanks for the laugh, And yes I would have popped you to, unless you ransomed your way out of the system.
