- Fail to solo Enemies Abound 5/5 for the fourth time in a row. - Hire help. This takes almost 2 hours, even in Motsu. - Get into mission and think it's going quite well. - Smartbomb scramblefrigs. - Realise your gangmate has set his drones on the scramblefrigs and that you've just damaged them. - Notice Security Status loss. - Notice DPS spiralling out of control. - Fail to warp out. - Lose Raven. - Notice Global Criminal Countdown. - Notice Concorde. - Swear. - Hurry back to Motsu. - Buy new Raven. - Refit new Raven. - Undock in a hurry to get back to gangmate. - Realise Raven is uninsured. - Find out what Global Criminal Countdown means the hard way. - Swear. - Swear. - Swear some more. - Buy new Raven. - No money for insurance. - No money for fittings. - No spare fittings left. - Realise I can't go anywhere for 15 minutes anyway. - Swear. - Let timer elapse. - Buy Ferox. - Spend the rest of the mission doing nothing to the battleships with medium railguns. - Resign self to a lifetime of L3 missions.

No thats just sounds like a 4 to 6 month old person to the game experiencing a good mission, with not much experience. Needing good tank plus thermal / exp damage capability.
But as we so often hear these days mission runners take no risks

that is an unfortunate tale indeed.
I fell foul of concorde this week also, and your sorry tale makes me feel better I must admit. I dont see how its stupid as some have pointed out, but it certainly is a harsh lesson on criminality and flagging.
My own experience was with salvaging wrecks in .5, my mate and I were ganged, and I never gave it a thought, i just tractored a wreck, and salvaged it.. when it disapeared.. I noticed the flag.. then the fuzz warping in, millions of them. And they didnt like me destroying my mates wreck and let me know about it. 1 fully tech II fitted ferox later, and I was sitting in a pod, with a puzzled look on my face and my brow all furrowed in hard thought. ===============================================

Edited by: Fink Angel on 08/12/2006 16:15:52 I feel for you mate!
I found that Concord had taken offense to ME rather than my SHIP in the same sort of way, but I think I got that out of my system when I was still at the cruiser stage.
You'll soon be back in a battleship, but either do loads more L3s back to back really quickly, or know which L4s to turn down.
To people just calling you dumb, well, don't expect a lot of sympathy around here.

Actually sorry to hear that. I've had my bad days too. And when I lose a ship, it's always uninsured (t2).

?
I thought you were having a bad day? Where is the griefer taking your mission loot?
This is just poor planning as mentioned by another response earlier.
Any sympathy? Heck no, you fly Caldari but even worse, you are a mission runner.
Quick, someone show this guy what a bad day really is.

I've managed to loss two Raven's as well, just not in the same day.
I love how the pirates that have been saying "mission running has no risks" respond to your illustration of the dangers of mission running by insulting you. To those persons, since when did camping a gate become more dangerous than soloing level 4 missions?

I think some people in this thread either needs to learn how to read or to reason. It wasn't the mission that killed him. It was CONCORD because he smartbombed his friends drones. I.e. he screwed up.
That said, sorry for your loss (OP). That can hurt, but you'll be back in no time.

Thats odd though .. i thought usually you can't tractor a wreck unless you have rights on it. I salvaged some things from two abandoned wrecks in a .5 belt but didnt get flagged for aggression, or concorded. Perhaps you could petition it?

It happens. It's best to wait a bit for the anger/frustration to work itself out of your system before opening the market or undocking. Stop that! you scare my chickens! |
