Put Rocket Launchers on the Kessies... even if each rocket only does 5 damage, you get 5x500 = 2500... with each kessie being able to fit at least 3 launchers and with such a short cycle time, you almost get 2500 DPS... Even a titan with decent reppers won't be able to hold off that much dammage for long.
Not to mention the lag 500 frigs on screen would cause :)

Faction smartbombs I beleive can reach out to max rocket range.
I am not confident that standards have the DPS to ***** the titan tank.

how much DPS do 500 ships need? with 10 DPS, that is 5000 DPS total. Will 20,000+ DPS not break a titans tank?

naughty boys spreadsheet gives a figure of 160dps max from a rocket kessie with kinetic rage rockets and 2 BCU II, so you're looking at 80k dps before resists

Yup.
500 kestrels would kill a Titan in about 30 seconds.

Except, as was said in the broadcast earlier, with armor rigs they got an amarr titan to just under 2million HP with 80% resists across the board.So, 16k dps after resists.
So, more like 2 minutes, if the said titan has no reps, which it probably didn't with those armor stats.
=P Kessies win.Except, of course, for smart bombs.

eh just fit as many faction smartbombs on the titan as you can and spread the activation out to kill alot of if not most rocket/missiles coming its way

While you certainly can fire a DDD through a cyno, there's no requirement to do so. By default, the DDD hits wherever the Titan is.

All good lol I just see one flaw in your idea....What about that insta-pop thing the titan has that has a rang of about .5 au's lol. 500 kestrels vs 1 titan = one big egg toss

Ugh, I have too much time on my hands.
Let's pretend we can magically create an Avatar (Amarr Titan) with 90% resists across the board, BEFORE modules. Let us further suppose that this hypothetical Avatar can fit and run 8 capital armor repairers continuously.
500 rocket kessies with good skills (though not perfect ones) will deal approximately 150 dps apiece, or 75,000 dps together. After 90% resists, that's 7,500 dps hitting armor. With Capital Repair Systems V, a capital armor rep gives you 426.67 rep/s; eight of them give 3,413. So even in this absolutely-ridiculous, patently-impossible setup (remember, we are getting 90% resists from thin air here!), the Titan is taking almost twice the amount of damage it can tank. Ballparked, with a Slave set, it'd take about 3 minutes for the Kestrels to break this Avatar's armor + reps.

you guys know titans have Doomsday devices which can hit everything in the same grid "give or take 250km" as the titan for about 70,000 points of damage "enough to kill many Battleships"... So basically one blast from the DD would kill all the kestrels instantly... Least once the node came back up anyways.

problem 1, how did the op not think of the doomsday?
problem 2 if your gonna get 500 pilots together to go kill a titan, why would you use some crappy frigates? why not use battleships then you could actually survive one doomsday and probably damn near 1 volley the titan if the lag didnt stop everyone from firing in a 500 vs 1 fight
problem 3 the lag created from doomsdaying 500 kestrels at one time would be so severe the servers at ccp would spontaneously erupt in a white hot inferno that would continue to light all of iceland on fire....

Each second, a Velator outputs 39.6 thermal DPS from drones, and an additional 124.912 dps evenly split between thermal and kinetic, yielding 62.456 kinetic damage and 102.056 thermal damage, or 14.214 and 20.130 damage per second, respectively, after resists. In total, a Velator causes a loss of just under 34.345 armor hitpoints per second on an Avatar fit this way.
As such, it would take 49 maxed-out Velators to break an Avatar's tank. Ballparked at 1,000,000 armor HP, such a squad would take a little more than fourteen and a half hours to chew through the Avatar's armor alone. Bring a good book.

With Chuck being able to deal infinite DPS I think the answer is obvious.
