Hi everybody! I just started today (with a Minmatar as my first character) and seem to be stuck on the first Mordus Headhunters mission (right after the tutorial). I found and destroyed the only 3 enemy ships I could find, but the mission still shows that I havn't completed it. I can't seem to find any other ships...and I even went back to destroy the wrecks (just incase that was the problem) but I still can't complete it. I figured that I should ask someone before the timer runs out... javascript:insertsmilie('','WebPost','text'); Neutral Is there some info I somehow missed? The rookie help channel didn't have any info about the problem. Or could this be a bug? Thanks for any input, I've been enjoying the game so far and would like to procede further. |

Hmmmmm... Are there any accelleration gates? It's been forever since I've done that mission, but I'd wager a large amount of money that there's an acceleration gate, since the level two version features like five rookies in the first pocket, and a bunch more beyond there through the acceleration gate.

Edited by: Par E''idola on 09/12/2006 03:32:32 Edited by: Par E''idola on 09/12/2006 03:32:03 GC13... Thanks for the reply. I couldn't find any acceleration gates in the whole system (just the jump gates). I tried checking the system overview setting, but ther's no list of any dead space gates & just the one navigation marker in the whole system (the marker for the area that I already cleared). I even tried warping to other stations & asteroids in the system, but found nothing. The Journal notes only say to kill all for the opponents and "leave no survivors" which I'm pretty sure I did. There were only 3 ships when I arived and I destoyed them all, after retreating the on my first run when they almost killed me (ran away for repairs & bigger guns (); Smile ).

1)Yes, there is an acceleration gate. I'm pretty sure to see it in your overview you have to view collideable structures. 2)Unless you got someone to help you, stay away from this mission, the first room has only 3 guys, but the second one has about 30.

Thanks...I'll give that a try with the beacon, the mission briefing is rather short on info. If that doesn't work maybe I should wait until after the next server reset.

Yup...turns out that it was the beacon after all. Thanks for the tip!
By the way, for anybody else who has the same problem there are 15 (by my count) enemy ships.
It would be nice if the devs had included a little better description (just to make it easier for total newbies like myself ) Something like "Be sure to bring a small fleet with you, or wait until you have much better ships & weapons!" I'm not complaining, just an observation that it would make things easier for people new to the game.

That's something that the dev's don't do, they don't hold your hand. You have to find things out for yourself or look on the internet for more information. Try http://eveinfo.com/missions/3/ they don't have many of the low level missions but once you hit lvl 3 & 4 it's very informative.

On the higher level Mordus missions there is a warning in the mission briefing in red text: "These Mordus goos are no laughing matter. Don't underestimate them." And indeed the L3 Mordus Headhunters mission is much harder than all other level 3s (including the new Blockade mission). Is that warning in the lower level missions?
