Some of us do, others don't. eXceed Inc. for instance is a strict deep space corporation, empire life is what you leave behind in full when you join. [IXC] pilots make a life in deep space, and that means that for instance our trial time is in 0.0 as pilots get shipped out straight away - after all we do not dwell in what is called "empire space", instead we strive to build our own, out here.
As for "free BS" I'm at loss with your question. Life out here is rewarding, but everybody works and everybody fights.
EVE is only in part a game about numbers, quality is a determining if not the determining factor. It is why we are strict, though the ones that make it get an exotic dancer to carry along in cargo of combat ships for those long winding hours. Pew pew is part of the job out here: industry, intelligence, resource management, exploration, etcetera are other examples of life out here. Life in the Ascendant Frontier is about uniting a variety of in game perspectives, on the foundation of fighting for what you care for. What you build out here comprises your life out here. And who does not stand up to defend his or her home and preserve the interests of your family and friends.

Well that remark was aimed at cyvok and his corp, due to the fact that I have heard quite allot about them from former memebers ( I am not aiming to insult here, it was mostly good). The free BS part was about after your trail period you would recieve a corp BS to use for corp mining protection, corp ops. My friend who told me this is very reliable and I would like to know if such things still go on. I am sure it would help recruitment if such things exsit.

Np, understood. That bit is a [CLS] attribute then, you'll find similar methods and means in all ASCN corporations with minor variations to the theme. My own corporation offers no freebies (other then exotic dancers) but instead provides for a range of easy programs for all types and sorts of pilots, whether you are a core 23/7 player or a family man with kids, a wife and the horror of a mother in law.
Recruitment out here is selective and strict, but rewarding in spirit and teamwork as well as other means. Individual ASCN corporations have different programs so to speak, I can only recommend going over the variety of corporations. Each of us has a strong spirit and character which together makes the whole much bigger then the sum of all parts.

Today every capsuleer pilot in Eve can clearly see the shroud of darkness that is spreading from Delve. The darkness that is threatening to consume all good that was achieved by the forces of light and freedom. Today is the time to decide if you will help the forces of light or will you try to stay away from this epic struggle, trembling in the corner, muttering prayers to your Gods that your turn will never come and the eternal night will pass you by. Today is the time to help the forces of light and freedom to stop the warmongers of darkness and evil to force the capsuleers of Eve to bow before their twisted will.

I'd be interested in joining up with ASCN, but I wouldn't know which corp to inquire with because I'm probably not in the typical situation that most applicants are. Let me explain:
I left EVE about 6 months ago, as I became very busy with work IRL and I simply didn't have the time to play anymore. I've recently come back and am getting familiarized with the new changes that have come in. I've been in 0.0 before, and I used to live there. I'm looking to get back out into it, since I find Empire to be boring and laggy
I do not, however, play 30 hours a week. I play when I can, but it's usually not much. An hour here or there during the week, maybe 3 or 4 hours at a time on the weekends. When I log on, I want to be able to have some fun. Whether it's ratting, or PvPing. Obviously I'm not ideal for most corps because I simply don't have the time to play extended hours, but I still believe I can contribute to a corp who will take me in.
I figure there has to be something out there where I'll fit in, even though I understand that it doesn't seem like I have much to offer. I'd obviously make up for this by donating a goodly-sized portion of my income from ratting back to the corp, and I'd PvP whenever I could. Anyway, I think you all see what I'm saying here :)
Anyway, drop me an in-game mail, or post here, if there are any corps who think I'd be a good fit with them :) ----------

STK was founded to be a pure PVP corp, but as time went by we realised we were pretty damn good at industrial. Then I joined.
Now STK are a good PVP corporation once again, we have a large capital fleet, immense T2 production and some of the best PVP gangs you could ask for. Not neccessarily uber, but we know how to have fun - which is what matters.
Currently STK are only recruiting Capital Pilots with their own ship, after the war we will reopen recruitment to the general public, but that may not be for some time.
In the meantime, feel free to check out the link below and have a look, as well as at our recruitment thread. It does need updating, but the general gist of it is there.

My time in ASCN has been great, although a bit short. Always note, it is way more easy to destroy then to build, so help out to save the empire that has been build.
I would still be there, but unfortunatly, the voices that call you back home to the corp that you helped to create, and build up and make a success seem never to stop...

Nice post CYVOK, you got me inspired enough to reply here.
I live in empire space. I'm happy where I am and earn enough ISK to satisfy most of my needs, wants, and desires. The empire has been good to me so far.
Your post has tweaked my interest, I like yourself, detest evil and will fight it if I found it on my doorstep. Although I never really thought about moving to 0.0, I may consider doing it now.
About me: I have 8mil SP and I would consider myself as a versatile pilot. In groups I am dependable and work well with others. As trader/industrialist I would characterize myself as a go-getter and risk taker.
In your vast organization, a good fit for me would be in a corp that fields small specialized elite t2 gangs that do whatever such gangs do. I may not have the experience associated with such a pilot, but I do have to financial backing as well as the burning desire to be the best of the best. I have excelled in everything I have done in EVE so far, I have no doubt i have what it takes to become a top-notch pilot.
Joining such an organization will entice me to pack up and leave my cushy life here in empire.
Can you, or someone from your organization, point me such a corporation in you alliance that would be mutually beneficial for all parties involved.
Thank you Mongolia

Edited by: iqplayer on 10/12/2006 19:30:09 All corporations within ASCN share at least one common vision - to create something of our own (an empire) and call it home.
Each corp accomplishes this in a different way, but when you find the corp that fits your style, Eve becomes a really great place to play.
Dragon's Rage has typically been a small corp, but what we've lacked in size, we make up for in heart. We mined all the isk and ores needed to build an Outpost with just 14 active players, within 35 days time from the start of mining until we were open for business. We also deployed it with minimal alliance help, even when the closest station to us was 15 jumps away.
Because of our successes, we've grown quite a bit in that time, to finally lose our place as the smallest corp in ASCN, but we're still a close knit group. And while our numbers don't put us amongst the larger of ASCN corps either, the willingness of our members to 'get it done' still shows up in what we're able to accomplish within the Asendancy.
If you're looking for a place to call home in 0.0, and want to spend your time with good friends who know what it means to have fun, check out our website/forums, and drop us a line. We do ask that players looking to move directly to 0.0 have the resources/skill points to make such a move feasible, but we also have programs for less skilled pilots to develop to make the transition.
Finally, if you love the small roaming gangs, especially send us a line. While we've been known as carebears, we love the fight as well, and now have pilots ranked at the highest tiers of the alliance killboards. If you like that kind of fight, we can provide it - if you want to learn that type of fighting, we can teach it.

On behalf of Vanguard Frontiers, hello.
VAF started out about two years ago up in the Placid region. We were a little mining corporation bent on destruction of any and all asteroids we came across. We had our share of troubles - pirates, wardecs, etc. We kept our chins up and we worked hard to maintain our way of life. We kept up our POSs, our production, our mining, and everything else.
A decision was made to look into moving to 0.0. We had heard about this group called the Ascendant Frontier. Their stated goal was to build an empire, to build a home, deep in 0.0 space. We spent a few months talking to CYVOK and the other people and eventually we signed on to join up.
Since them, the little corporation of VAF has doubled in size and is now an integral part of ASCN's logistics, industry, and combat. When we took the enemy POS in AZN-D2 into reinforced mode, four of the ten dreadnoughts present were VAF. For being only 5% of the member count of this great alliance, bringing 40% of the capital ships to the assault is impressive.
That underscores how we do things. VAF is a family. We work together to accomplish great things. Yesterday we had a mining op with about 20 people - just about everybody that was online in corp chat at the time. The people spent the entire day mining - and donated it to the corporation. No net benefit to their personal wallets. Take a guess why we did that.
Because we believe in ASCN's vision.
We want to be a part of this. We want to contribute to the building of our home in deep space. We want to live here, have fun, and enjoy it. Have a place to live, a place to be. ASCN has a dream, and we have proven time and time again that we are capable of attaining it.
And this dream is being threatened. Threatened by those who would dirty themselves with every little thing to try to gain an upper hand in this war. Those who desire to destroy, simply to show that they can. Our foes can't win this war on numbers, they don't have the patience to grind us down. They've resorted to every last dirty trick in the book.
Anyway, I've gone a bit rambly here...
My corporation is a beautiful one. We are a team, we care for eachother, and we work hard to accomplish our goals. We support ASCN, we support CYVOK, and we support eachother.
