I think CCP made all systems security level on an even number when they removed the ark and moved other rare minerals to non empire space. Spawn of the Devil

they dont have even number, i saw a chart of the lowest sec areas some days ago, but i forgot the damn url.. it had sec ratings like 0.9825 and stuff - the lowest sec areas should have best loot, ore, and pirate spawns !

IN theory. If that is true you would not see Scrodite in anything less than 0.5 . This is not the case. Who knows? --------------------------

u would see scord - but ores like bistot are more frequent in the lower sec systems right, btw its not my theory, some dude posted a chart of the sectors, i just want to find the chart or the way to locate the lowest sec systems.

Go on the map and there you can choose to see security status of each system, not sure if that is what you are looking for though

As I understand it, the number displayed (0.7,0.3 etc.) is only a rounded figure; the exact number looks a lot like your personal sec status when you examine it in the corp file (mine was 1.0034783392 the last time I checked). This is why, for instance, some 0.8 systems have almost nil omber but some seem to have sizable chunks of it; also, and more importantly, it's why you don't automatically find bistot in all 0.0 systems. It might be that bistot only spawns in, say, <0.01, and crokite in <0.04, or some such.
If this *is* true, then I would expect CCP not to release the exact figures. Too easy to see where the bistot's going to be, instead of having to go and find it

the map used to show the longer number for system rating
they changed it
i think they just changed the display and that is why some 0.0 systems give or were giving sec hits ...becouse they were not truely 0.0
if you had the skills you could probobly extract that info from the cd it might also be available in the POS guide book that came out about the same time the game did, or on the net some where on an out of date site |
