Originally by: from patch notes All objects located inside deadspace (missions, exploration scenarios, etc.) are now more difficult to find with scan probes.
How more difficult exactly? I have been trying to probe myself down on the test server and even with 5au probes when I was right next to myself (1au) I couldnÆt get a result not even after several tries.
Personally I think it is really lame that scanning comes down to luck now, scan probes were fine before revelations, why does it have to be changed to some new system that is way to easy and only comes down to luck where there is no actual player skill involved at all. IÆm guessing every mission runner in the game was whining on the forums about how they got killed during their missions so CCP goes for the easy solution again, change some variables so to chance to get a result is way lower in deadspace, it could be just me but I think this solution is really lame, I agree that probing mission runners as it is now is way too easy but that is nothing but CCPÆs own fault, if they did any kind of testing on the new probe system whatsoever they would have known it was way to easy before they released it.
Please CCP, stop making things chance based, a game should come down to player skill not to luck.

as i keep saying over and over again the ONLY problem with scanning pre-kali was the scan plane (it was plate shaped not ball shaped).
wtf has it all changed so much....twice :/

Scanning is WAY too easy now pre patch i could drop 3 au probes thats it and scan the 3 au easy any igger probes and i didnt have a clue,
Also one problem with dead space is when you probe osomeone with a longer range probe you land with a few ten thousand KM, BUT with dead space trying to warp close to it always puts you at the deadsace gate.
