Yesterday my corp hit some lvl 3 missions. We each had a salvager 1 fitted, and while we didnt collect massive amounts of rig equipment, we colled enough to make the time spent worth while. All in all id say the only spot that needs changing with actually salvaging the rig partsd is the 10 second timer. BUT the time spent on this wasnt massive, when it was devided between 4 players, and for us it was more of a change to collect our selves for the next lvl. So CCp dont listen to all the whineage on these forums about salvage, its NOT bad, and adds alot ot the game. Higher lvl missions are SUPPOSED to be group effort am I correct?? Pow

These people just want things to stay the same, but the only thing that ever stays the same is change. I agree with you btw

While it might be nice if some skills reduced the 10-second cycle (I thought skills like Survey would do that but not that I've noticed) overall it's never been an issue with our group as we all use salvage barges (destroyers fitted with 2x tractors and 6x salvagers.) You're kept so busy tractoring and looting as youre salvagers work the 10-second cycle is never an issue.
And thank you CCP for the salvager's dream mission...The Blockade mmmmm.....blockade *drools thinking about the dozens of parts per mission*

Oh yea, another 100 missions and you will able to make rig or two Salvaging is good thing for sure, just need lots of tweaking.

No. Solo BC can do any L3 missions (and few L4).

Salvaging is nice idd, although the drops are a bit rare to my liking (i've been scanning hundreds of wrecks, and still don't have nearly enough to make 1 rig). Also, i had to wait 10 or more cycles once or twice, just to see "Nothing salvagable". A bit frustrating. I hope they tweak it right this Wednesday, so rigging will actually become possible without running missions for three weeks to make one rig.

Something interesting in the attitude of some people to salvaging is that they *must* salvage everything. I rat belts nowadays, and several fellow ratters complain 'Salvaging cuts my time earning bounties in half and isnt worth the effort'.
My view is that salvaging is an extra, not a must-do (kinda why it was called a sub profession, since the figures dont stack up enough to make a career out of it). Either way, in the small amount of time i've been doing it i've salvaged a dozen or so of the common types in my area, 2 of each rare part (circuits), and still maintained my high ratting speed, simply by salvaging only while the fight continues.
The minute there's no more rats left to fight, i just up and leave for the next belt, and leave the wrecks which i havent salvaged. It's surprising how many people *dont* try this but then complain about it being a waste of time.

Rigs are supposed to be rare right?
Let the whiners have welfare versions that they can buy off market and make for a fraction of the component cost and a fraction of the effects.

its already been said in the tournement that rigs are not supposed to be rare but something everyone can afford to use. -----------------------------------------------
