Just a quick Question. Is there ANY bugs related being at war with another corp? A vote for a war has completed and been turned into a sanctioned action by our CEO, and now the fight indicator has turned to yes. So before we end up attacking and getting shot to pieces by a sentry or Concord, is corp war bugged in any way?
thanks in advance. |

a war will not nullify the effects of splash damage on gates/stations/innocents.
Other than that, I don't really know what's up. .

Edited by: Jera on 21/11/2003 09:44:35 ( While reading the FAQ item 'Security Zones & Security Status' i've found what may be the cause of your desmise :
Quote: As an result of the increasing size and numbers of corporations the empires have decided to ignore tensions between corporations and as long as corporations have declared war against each other in an legal manner and no innocent bystanders are hurt during fights, then no action will be taken by the authority. The security rating of corporate members is unaffected as long as they fire only on ships belonging to the enemy corporation.
Have you been using missiles or anything doing splash damage ? )

Just make sure, if you use missiles /smart bombs. You don't splash the gates/stations.
The problem is that the rival corp could, if losing, just quit their corp and leave 1 sleeper alt in there as CEO. They then repeat this until ALL your war slots are taken up.
The other thing to be aware of is that a char can quit a corp then rejoin pretty much at will so be careful when choosing targets.
Other than that.... have fun and good hunting.

We found that due to a bug we couldn't 'turn off' or stop the war after it had been started. Even months after the reasons for it had become irrelevant there was no way to stop the hostilities.
