The only problem I have with charge based repair modules is the blatant discrepancy between Armor and Shield.
Why is it that not only is Shield Boosting more efficient than Armor, but it is also now completely capless. Doing the same thing with Armor and you get both the inefficiency of armor reps, the delay of rep and it still takes a large amount of capacitor.
Isn't it bad enough that Armor tanks sacrifice our dearest low slots? Fix armor tanking, then we can talk about nerfing Ancillary boosting.

While I do not want to pretend that the following is a decent fitting.... the tank on it is just silly:
[Vargur, New Setup 2] Damage Control II Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II Caldari Navy Co-Processor Caldari Navy Co-Processor
X-Large Ancillary Shield Booster, Navy Cap Booster 400 X-Large Ancillary Shield Booster, Navy Cap Booster 400 Pithum A-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field Pithum A-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field Warp Disruptor II Warp Disruptor II
Bastion Module I Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain I Heavy Diminishing Power System Drain I Dual 650mm Repeating Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP L Dual 650mm Repeating Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP L Dual 650mm Repeating Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP L Dual 650mm Repeating Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP L Cynosural Field Generator I
Large Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer II Large Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer II
Throw in A Sleipnier + Drugs + Crystal set + Overheating and you are looking at a 53K DPS tank Cyno Bait Vargur *g*.
Again... not being serious about the fitting.. I just find it kinda amusing.

Stitch Kaneland wrote:HP is HP, regardless of if its in the armor, shield or hull. Letting armor bleed before repping isnt that absurd, especially with ASB tanks. As you want to use those charges as slowly as possible to have the maximum amount of time for reload. I bled some armor in a dual XLASB ferox just to bait the fight longer, and give plenty of time for reload. But mainly for bait tanking. Especially when you know dps on field cant break you.
Now, if someone says its more efficient to do it that way, id say no. Its all just psychology and letting your opponent make mistakes by making them assume your tank is breaking. Then they swoop in ontop of you, at which point, you can murder them.
No... you want as much HP as possible while you reload... You know so you don't pop while your reloading so burning through your amour and Hull is burning through HP that you could be using between reloads. |

Think he's raging about bait tanking.... I figured it was something like "we totally had him, but then he repped and we got owned waaaaa", but he came off like a 5 year old who saw the most amazing thing hes ever seen in his life, and he just ran in to tell you all about it, but hes winded and for some reason cant keep the story on point and in the end forgot why he ran in the house in the first place so he runs back outside, then back in because he realized he had to pee but its too late at that point and he peed himself.
So basically, we're posting in a stealth CAM thread? |

OK fine, so why does it have to stop and what are we, the people whom he is addressing, supposed to do about it?
