I'm no expert but I'll have a shot.
What BPOs you buy is a pretty general question so without more information I would not be able to offer any constructive advice.
With the various changes to capitals and POS there was a bit of a sell off of capital BPOs. There is still a market for cap bpcs though I think the prices have edged downwards a little, not too much.
The POS changes I am referring to are that you can no longer "lockdown" BPOs in a station to use them at a POS. You can, however, make copies in a station and use the copies in a POS. On the plus side you no longer need standings to anchor a POS though some trade hubs and rookie systems don't allow them.
The market for copies generally took a hit as they are now easier to produce in quantity. On the plus side, it's easier for people to get into invention and building because copies don't take long to make. This is more so for quick to copy items, there is still a market for copies of things like ship BPC, and generally more expensive stuff or things that take longer to copy or produce.
Sets of various types still sell well. Also, not sure how long you have been gone but smaller ships like frigates, destroyers and cruisers are more popular now than say 2 - 3 years ago.
Hope that helps.

To put in more detail, it was three reasons why capitals barley make 100m margins anymore:
1. Jump Range Nurf + Jump Fatigue (Less cap fights [basically cap vs cap fights barley happen anymore] thus less demand for capitals, coupled with them not dying [see the less cap fights]).
2. Insane ease of BPO copying in highsec stations (no more station slot restrictions) means that you do not need to risk capital BPOs at all.
3. Fozzie Solv making capitals not needed, unless defender actually brings a gang that needed triage reps (no structure grinding).
The POS changed honestly was not a big deal. Your BPOs are essentially immune to being lost in a high-sec POS as long as you log in once every 2.5 days (24h Wardec Notice + Max Stront). |
