What is this invention i keep hearing about? Is it in game now and if so how does it work?
Ive tried searching for it but I can only find old posts.

At the moemnt there is no confirmation that it works.
I think it probably does, but due to the lack of Interfaces, there are no people willing to share results, or maybe no people at all, currently inventing Tech 2 BPCs.
The interface issue has not been publically commented on from CCP yet, but I believe they are available from cosmos Hidden Exploration missions.
This probably means that if the drop rate for the first 3 weeks is anything to go by (and the maount of people looking for these secret cosmos signatures and attempting to do the resultant "dungeons" will only get less at time and enthusiasm waines) then it will be a toy for the rich only.
I envisioned the limiting factor being datacore supply, and the mass public having access to this tranche of production with ease, only supply and demand of the datacores (the disposable item) being market fluctual and thus balancing the amount of cheaper tech 2 modules hittin gthe market wholesale....
This would appear to not be the plan, but instead only people that can get lucky and find a Interface BPC (probably 0.0 based dungeons, so large 0.0 alliances MAY control this) or those that are extremely rich and can pay the billions it will cost for such a rare and sought after item.
Shame, as some commented last week we are only 3 weeks in, and personally I hope its just a mistake from CCP in the drop rate, or drop area, and these interfaces will become available more commonly, maybe at 100-200 million isk cost, and that it will have some effect over the coming months on the tech 2 overpricing... we shall see.
If it is meant to be this way, then it is imho a dead duck I am afraid.
