just got one wondering what a good setup for ratting bloods in low sec would be was thinking 4 med pulse, 1 small nos, 1 cap rechager,a thermal hardener,1 EM resist plate 1 t2 rep? hope it dosn't suck

The retribution is quite straight forward,4 med lasers 1 nos in the highs,1 afterburner in the mid,1 t2 armor rep 2-3 thermic membranes(or rat specific)or resistance plate if you cant fit those and a heatsink II or two.

Like all Amarr DPS ships:
As many lasers as you can fit in the highs,
Whatever you may need in the mids (sensor damp T2 small duel beams is fun btw. .. even if it is limited)
an armor rep, Heat Sinks, and resisances - in that order.

Best low sec ratting setup that i have made imo that i had actually made to rat BS's in 0.0 which was successful (you don't need any resistance mods, just good piloting):
4x medium pulse II (5th slot free)
1x AB II/(not sure if it fits an MWD,i.e. to close in faster on your targets)
1x SAR II, 2x inertia stabs (pre rev. nanofiber internal), 2x Heat sink II
This way you can kill them quiet fast using multifrequency crystals. To minimize damage done to you, kill frigates and destroyers first and then go for cruisers and BC. By keeping t-velocity up you can pretty much avoid cruiser and BC fire and therefore do not need to tank much at all because frigs and destoyers will pop very very fast, most of the time before they even start shooting at you. Also with inertia stabs you will warp out faster = you can go through belts much faster and you can avoid pirates more effectively. Fun and fast setup

works very well unless you have to chase your food (highly effective against BSs)

unfortunately your speed sucks (300m/s), but that won't stop you from popping any frigs (can hit them up to 18km fairly well with scorch ammo)
your tank is impenetrable, and your damage with conflagration is godly
so yeah, only weakness is speed

Already takes ages to kill a BS in an AF, with that speed it can take you just about 8-10 mins to take down a single BS spawn...That is why i had a slightly different setup for 0.0 when i could afford it.
4 x Medium Pulse II
1 x AB II / MWD
1 x SAR II, 1 x inertia stabs (pre rev. nanofiber internal), 3 x Dark Blood/True Sansha Heat Sink
Again not sure if the MWD would fit (was a long time ago) but with AB it all fits fine and in the end you get more damage than with 3 x HS IIs.

what i use now:
4 medium pulse II (scorch)
1 AB II
1 SAR II
2 Heat Sink II
1 'Refuge' Adaptive Nano Plating
1 Beta CPR
rigs: anti-thermic pump, energy burst aerator
i have 67-84-69-62 resists and can run everything nonstop. 2 heatsinks help my dps a lot and optimal is 15-16km. I tried various setups for retribution but i'm loving this one

this is my retribution. i admit its abit of an overkill and this is the goal, i dont got it all yet and i need to train AWU to fit the nos.
4 medium pulse II (scorch)
1 Dark blood small NOS
1 Gistii A-type 1MN Afterburner
1 Dark blood small armor rep.
2 Dark blood Heatsinks.
1 Dark blood Theremal plating.
1 Dark blood CPR
1 CCC rig
1 armor rep rig (the one that increase rep amount. or the one that increase rep speed if you got all cap skills at V)
Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". |

it should fit. i havent tried it with the nos as i dont got AWU but it should fir with a dark blood nos. it only needs 8 pg
