Hey all, so me and my bud we have been playing eve for like 9 months now and I shamed to say but I havn't done jack in low sec. So I mean me and him both have a lot of fighting skills so fitting and being able to use ships isn't a problem. My question is, if I wanna be a bounty hunter kind of guy, so I am not looking to gank every poor soul I see, I just wanna get you know, the bad guys lol, what would you guys think would be a good place or area to start, and how to do it. As in should I be sitting at a gate and waiting, or should i be searching through systems finding people in local and searching the system or what. Thanks guys appreciate it

Get 2 bs and jump into lowsec...dont forget to pres f1 to f8 though

Hmm, well maybe a little additional information which would have helped is we are on a low budget, so battle ships.... are not going to work lol

dont bother searching local for hostiles, they for sure will find u faster than u imagine
And btw, i hear Amamake is a nice place to test your bounty-hunter abilities, lots of friendly customers there :)

Read up on PvP setups on the boards.
Fit up a pair of PvP cruisers designed to work together.
Go out into low sec and have a blast.
(Personally I much prefer 0.0 to lowsec though)
You might want to look in the recruitment forums though and find an anti-pirate corp that is recruiting.

Join a pvp corp or (edit) alliance, that is the best way to get experience.

this may sound bizarre, but its true.
the only way you will truly learn how lowsec works is to join a pirate corp. even if you turn anti-pirate afterwards it is the best insight you could possibly get.
most anti-pirates dont have a clue what there doing, at least to start with, and how low sec works. you must see it from the other side to appreciate it.

Get your jump clones before you even think about going low sec...Plenty of info on j clones on the forums..
Buy cruisers / battlecruisers untill your skills are really good as you will lose them , its inevitable..
If you go to belts in .4 and their are people in system expect to fight , most other pvp's / gankers are in teams looking for fights..
Enjoy it , your heart will pound lol...and here's a tip for a longer fight ..use e-war... it'll give you more time to think !

Hmm, well you guys have given me some good information. I really appreciate it. Joining a corp seems to be a smart move. But I am not sure if i wanna join a corp yet, kind of like just doing things solo I guess. Right now we both have cruisers, but theres only 2 of us, so hopefully we win some lol. Thanks guys

Well a Vexor with a proper setup can take down a BC as can a Thorax.Get t2 mods and drones and you will tear some people up  .A Stabber is like a Frig on steroids if you need a tackler and a Rupture can tank pretty well.Dura-Maller is always fun also  .But personally I like the Thorax and Vexor combo because it can crank out some amazing DPS and may be able to take out some Battleships if their tanks suck.
