Anyone playing this?
I'd like other peoples opinions on it, I only managed to play it for about 1 hour yesterday but it looks pretty, and plays nicely. Controls were a tad difficult to start with coming from FPS games
It has a very Star Trek Armada-esque feel about it, except you arent controlling it C&C style, but more umm...Eve view with twitch controls and ability to switch to another ship. Quite good
Just out of interest, a few other games came out for other platforms at about the same time. Whats the PS2 version like? Tactical Assault? |

its nothing like star trek armada II (esp the new mods for it)
its more like star trek bridge commander (without the bridge)

I havent read too much about it because i dont want to get meh expectations up of a good game and have them shattered but ive seen the youtube vids - i hope

I dont mean the gameplay is like star trek armada, but it has a feel about it
That vid looks impressive, Ive only had a play with the NX-01 ship era, thats good enough. I think Eve is on the back burner for a little while |

I have read several negative reviews claiming the PC version was a quick port from the xbox 360, and that it was full of bugs. Although there is a patch out so that might help.

It is a quick buggy port, and no, the patch doesn't help.

I've heard bad bad things about it. Apparently the PS2 game "Encounters" (same publisher, different developer) is much better, though.

It runs crap flies crap and friendly AI is worst then EVE drone AI, just get bridge commander with some of the mods 10xs better TBH

pfft, cheap Bridge Commander. Only reason to get it is that William Shatner voices James Kirk here...
