Today I try to start the game but it is stuck at "Initializing..." for 15 minutes now. I tried to restart 3 times and even rebooted my PC. But maybe you should post it in this thread since they keep an eye on there for any issues.

Tried downloading the client installation and repairing it. Nothing seems to work. It's frustrating when I had to spend hours this morning trying to get it to work after the patch and now this again. I swear I spent more time looking at the launcher screen than the actual game today.

By the way, every update is a pain for people behind transparent proxy, every update i have to add update servers IP to bypass list of squid, since it changes all the time. Perhaps this issue is similar, yet different because usually launcher is just stuck at 0.0% and i don't see TCP_REFRESH_UNMODIFIED/304 entries in squid log

I find it odd that it has this problem now when I had no problems patching and playing yesterday. But, I suppose EvE is quite the jumbled mess of coding anymore. S'okay. I would like to play, but I am not going to get emotional over it. It'll be fixed in due time. Until then, I'll be playing Sins of a Solar Empire. Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

For those lucky 8000+ players that are apparently online, that's fine, but the rest of us are stuck with a dud launcher and even going straight to the .exe doesn't work. Professional curiosity, how many people with this problem are on Windows 10?

For example mine is C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin. Inside the bin folder is exefile.exe. This is what the launcher calls to start the game. Also in the top left corner of the launcher itself is a cog. If you use the advanced section and click repair it will update you to the latest version of the game. So 1. repair to update the game 2. go to C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin and launch exefile.exe from there. Hope this works for you guys. It did for me.

Additionally there's no Repair Tool located in my Eve folder, and THIS LINK didn't work. Gave error message "Data Package unavailable"
