I scanned back several pages. Most people that speak of this zing through what they are doing.
Can someone give a step by step on how you do this? I know you need to acquire the materials from the invention requirements on the T1 BPO.
So You take the T1 BPO
You take the materials for Invention....... Then what do you do? Any help? Sorry I'm not new to the game but figure this might be the best place to learn how to do this.

Invention makes BPCs, not BPOs.

You can only invent a T2 BPC, not a BPO.
You need datacores (from research agents or buy on the market; they will get destroyed), a T1 BPC (will get destroyed) and a data interface (very rare until yet, but doesnt get destroyed).
Without the interface you cannot invent.
Should you aquire one, just dump all the stuff in an invention slot in a station just like manufacturing (i assume).
You'll need some skills too.

You subscribe to the T2 lottery through research agents, then a BPO gets given to someone else.
(Invention appears to be broken as nobody has been able to find a single data interface yet)

Thank you for the clarification and yes it does now make more sense. Hopefully a couple patchs down the road will resolve the issue.
Until then I guess it's Lottery time.

Somebody has to have found an interface...there are t2 damage controls and cargo expanders on the market now and I know there were never t2 BPO's of these item given out. Same with Shield Boost amplifier II's .
So, someone somewhere has fond the bits to make em. :)

Yeah. I saw the T2 Damage Controls, some of my corp mates think they existed before Kali. I know these weren't in existance and for market sale before Kali, they just showed up on market in Essence.
I saw one sell too, there were 9-10 of them. For 250 million a pop. So someone found out how to make them, and decided to get as much as he can for each he made.... even ridiculously priced... amateur capitalists are some of the most detached persons on the planet.
Anywho, I'd like to know how to make the Damage Control IIs.

They did exist before Kali. A 100-run BPC was given out as a buddy raffle award, and they were sold off.

I was looking to make T2 Damage Controls all along and bought up some T1 Damage Control BPO's. Well, I guess better luck next time!

The owners of the original T1 Cargo Expander and Shield Boost Amplifier BPO's had them upgraded to T2 prior to revelations. Then, the T1 BPO's were seeded with the patch. Not sure about damage controls - maybe the same.
