Greetings,
This is a request to all Alliances, Pacts, Groups and other multi-Corporate Organisations.
As part of my archivist and lore keeping I regularly compile for publication information on the various political/economical and military alliances.
This information is made publically available primarily at my web site Kals EVE Journal and more recently at the EVE GUARDIAN.
Some have pointed out that some of my records are either inaccurate or missing information.
So I now make this request to all groups to submit their details to me at [email protected] so that I may fairly and more accurately present the facts.
This information shall also be used for all further updates to my EVE Maps.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
Cheers

I think you were inaccurate with how big forces stain and the CA haves...
Stain mega corps are more structered they have far more BS then you can imagine, so when they are fighting CA they only use small groups of 5 to 8 BS, and if CA manage to build up a force of 50 they call mega corps together and make a big force in DSS and wait to CA have logged...

I think it best not to post personnel views of alliance assets, rather the CEOS of the main corps actually inform kalshrith through emails etc what they have. That way it limits the chances of this turning into a 'mines bigger than yours' thread.

"Just a question why would Alliances post anything but false information thus giving enemies and potential enemies info on there Military strengh ?"
... Why would enemies and potential enemies need to rely on this public information?
(and given anyone is going to presume pretty much the same thing, they can save themselves the extra work and simply state the truth... since no one will believe it anyway. :s

Edited by: Kalshrith on 22/11/2003 17:47:04 Greetings.
Just to clarify, I agree that posting any responses here would be counterproductive and this is why I gave my direct email address. ([email protected] or [email protected]).
As to disinformation etc. I can, have to some degree and will if needed manually gather the information. It is actually near impossible to hide hard numbers as public records (I.E Corp info) provides much of what is needed.
What I am asking and offering is the chance for all Alliances and groups to contribute in a positive fashion. If this does not happen, they they shall have ZERO basis to complain or dispute any further figures or data which I may gather and publish.
While I know it will not stop some from attempting a campaign against me personally, which some have already attempted, it will I trust demonstrate the complete lack of credibility to those that matter most, the majority of the EVE community.
Nothing that any Alliance could provide would undermine or weaken their positions. Nothing provided could be used against them or even used as intelligence by their enemies. The facts are that with a committment of some time, any Alliances enemies can gather far more intelligence about them than that which I am asking for.
My focus is History, archiving and maintaining a evolving database of our communities growth and evolution.
Until proven otherwise, I always prefer to have faith in peoples good will and willingness to participate.
Cheers Kal. -- " .. the actions of our past .. shape the events of our future..**

I actually think that is a great idea Kal. would be interesting say a year from now to be able to go back and read somewhat correct information of things we did in Eve a year ago.
Wish you luck in this endeavor and hope it works out well.

Kalshrith - its a great work you have done...
i only have 2 things that i think you needed to correct...
1. You cant compare how many people there in the different fleets... because Stain have alot more minerals then curse... they are more structered with mega corps... can build a BS in no time...
2. In your week report you said that Stain had problems with there pirate policie...
Quote - Bloody Hands
Known pirate Corp the æBloody HandsÆ are now in the Stain Alliance? Fact or fiction this is unknown at the moment. But a number of reports of the Bloody Hands now calling SA home have surfaced, if true it puts a dent in the SA anti-piracy PR campaign.
Bloody hands is not in Stain anymore... and when they were, no with a negative rating were allowed in stain.
And maybe you should write you artikels more neutral...
Because when I read it, i see it like PR attacks... against CA enemys...

Quote: The Stain Alliance
Estimated Membership (Nominal Roster (NR) 1076)
The Stain Alliance could be regarded in some ways a "mining co-operative" and only recently have they, perhaps, been required to formalise some of their efforts, due to the "outside" pressures of the RUS Corporation, and become a true alliance (but possibly not even now). Until that point they had only briefly shown a "united front" during a brief period in which they "claimed" the Stain Region (and in the process kicked out any unwanted Corporations such as the luckless M3G4 Corp). Since that time they have kept themselves largely too themselves and "persuaded" most others too either stay out of the Stain Region (and it's rich 'roid belts and good hunting spots) or enter in limited, and controlled, numbers.
All the quotations marks ruin that paragraph completely by making it very nudge nudge wink wink.
Compare that to the CA entry and let me know what you think

I do not understand how the availability of minerals can affect the number of 'active' battle capable pilots or members a corp or alliance may have. Granted if we include the effects of a long term war, where one alliance may not be able to keep pace with mining to meet the demands of lost ships etc.
However thats a little hard to determine. So right now the figures show the NR (Nominal Roster) which is simply the sum total of all corp members in a alliance and Effective Fleet (EF) which at the moment is a subjective number which I hope to make less subjective as we progress.

At the time of writing, including the preceeding week the Bloody Hands were indeed in Stain. In addition I recieved over half a dozen reports of them interacting and in some cases working co-operatively with SA Corps.
Now lets be honest that a Pirate corp is a pirate corp and NOT just its members with negative Security ratings. If that was the case then all the chanting about the CA 'Pirate Corps' would likewise be negated as 90+% of them all have positive security ratings. Pirate Corps and ALL their members are Pirates =).

Ouch! Sorry you read it that way but Ouch!. You seem to have not read the other 6-7 items which mostly pointed out possibly negative Curse Alliance and Venal Info and only read the one about Stain?
Id hope that people would be a LOT fairer than that, and to be honest on later reflection I thought I went overly easy on a few of the points in the summary.
I didnt want to upset too many people so soon =).

As I've said before, Kal, I have no complaints at all at your table with info. Your descriptions of CA and SA were however obviously biased. But I don't find the weekly summary biased at all.
Regarding "the membership roster changes", the ground for that report is nothing more than that your old info about the roster was VERY out of date. It contained corps that were disbanded many months ago. And I don't think that chart contained Hooded Monks. And HM became full members of SA about when the war with RUS broke out, and what's that, 4 months ago? But, since there are no purpose for us to give out our exact structure, you'll have to keep trying to find out things the hard way. But that also means we'll have to live with such reports. So I'm not complaining, only explaining
Keep up your work.

It seems you have a bit of a Stalinist complex working for ya Dalman. YOu won't hear any news that not positive about you.
BTW, I think your ranting about carebears is correct. But, ya know what, you stainers that sit 40 jumps from DSS cowering way up there are carebears as well.

Edited by: Kalshrith on 24/11/2003 07:01:54 Greetings,
Thank you Dalman, I appreciate your explaining that and hopefully I shall have new write ups about most of the Alliances over the next comming weeks.
A lot of the original 'blurbs' on the alliances were a collection of material from the forums, Morkts old Defense Weekly reports and the alliances own corp sites. That was how I started collecting the details, but you are 100% correct that they need refreshing.
I believe now that I do have a near accurate break down of the Stain Corporate configuration, which I have updated to the site. While on one hand Id love it to be easy and have everybody fighting to give me info -=) it wouldnt be as much fun trying to extract/discover it.
The best results always come when to achieve them one has to expend time, effort and energy.

Just wanted to compliment you on your website. Those who raise too many objections can try to do what you do if they think it's so easy. I look forward to how you will add to EVE Guardian's coverage of the galaxy as well.
I would like to clarify, however, that the insurgents/freedom fighters/reisitance in Curse are the Curse Coalition, not the 'Coalition of Curse'. I'm not sure where that moniker came from but it's not ours.

Fist off I like the stuff Kal does even if it is not 100% accurate and he is CA scum . But what the hell.. he is in Oracle and they are a CA member. he sees things from that perspective and might accidenlty fall into the trap of believing CA propaganda and report it as fact since that is his perspective on many things. So live with it.
My biggest beef is the map. Curse is not CA space... its not CC space.. it's not free space... its currently disputed and the issue is currently unresolved. CA clams Curse, CC claims Curse, GWP claims The Great Wild Lands. We have not rolled over and went away. I'd say that Curse is as much the CA's as Afganistan was the Soviet Unions. Yeah they have lots of hardware there but the people are far from conquired.
The CA can spout all the crap they want but the area is not "theirs". Since November 9th the CC has bagged 14 CA battleships ( I can send Kal a list of pilots and dates if you want it) and countless indies and cruiers. I have no idea how many ships the GWP and SA have killed but I'd guess combined at least as many as the CC have or possibly even more. That is far from what I would call sovereign territory by any stretch.
So you can start your accuracy campaign by fixing the map and calling the Curse region and and surrounding space ôDisputed Spaceö. And not Curse Alliance Territory. Or at least put a foot note on there somewhere saying the area is claimed by more than one Alliance and a war is under way and the issue is still at question.

Scragg, you poor deluded fool. You have as much control over Curse as ****** Husien has over Iraq. You have no bases ther are nothing more than a tolken nusience. If you think 14 battleships are a loss to us, then you really are a small time thinker. We probably build 15-20 PER DAY. Curse is held by the CA and not the CC. Your only presence there is tolken piracy against less force (numericaly). I dont think many ppl in Eve would disagree with me when I say that CA has Curse and not the CC. If you think a few pirate raides is holding it, then you need more than implants.

Ratio of Alliance members to claimed systems.
Would be interesting to see who is the greediest alliance out there in terms of how many systems they "claim" to contrl over how many members they "claim" to have.
