whats up with smartbombs. what kinna ships should use them. im caldari and thinking about making an alt to use smartbombsi think it would be cool whats a typical smartbomb setup look like. are they even worth it?

Unless you don't care about your sec rating, smartbombs are really a 0.0 weapon. In highsec, using smartbombs is a bit like playing Russian roulette. One random person warping in to range of your smartbombs and you can kiss your ass goodbye.
I like smartbombs myself; for Caldari the Raven of course makes a good SB platform. I'm not sure about the Rohk, never flew one. With the ECM nerf, I've been thinking about making my Scorp into a SB machine. Rather have it go down in a blaze of glory than exist in it's current state hehe.

Smart bomb is good to take out drones. as you dont have to target and shoot them one by one. but i would advise not to use in 0,5+ as you might hit something/body.

what about fighting with them in low sec. like a small fast ship and orbit while smartbombing him. heh

they don't do enough damage for that.
I've started putting 2 mediums on my domi now for when you get gank attacked. Often it's the swarms of drones that cause most problems. ( you obviously need to make sure your drones are not in range )

I like them a lot... I use them while running lvl 4 missions in high sec. As long as you pay attention to whats arround you they're great. I use them to blow up all the annoying frigs and drones that swarm you, so I can focus on cruisers and battleships. They're Great!

well it would be cool for ur extra slots i guess. then. u could put 2 sb and 5 launchers on a raven maybe.

The problem with that is small smartbombs don't do a tremendous amount of damage, their range is pretty small, and you'll blow through cap real quick. IMO, with smartbombs, bigger really is better.

you can always ask IAC about how they works? after blowing upp 5t1 10t2 frigs in 15 sec last week.
they Work Realy god against stupid frigate fleets
