ok, not for the 1st time, i had eve freeze up on me. And yet again i have had problems getting my xp pro back to the desktop, eventually after a couple of cold boots. And yet again i get back to find eve.exe to be corrupted. The only application on this machine is eve. After having to reinstall the os after the last time it did this,, only a week or so ago. However i am running 2 clients on this machine, and it froze as i was logging on the 2nd account. Both accounts a run from a seperate client. But im probally gonna have to do another reinstall of the os as eve.exe probally wopnt be the only corrupt file again.
this is becoming very tedius to say the least. All i know, is , that it is eve which is the culprit. i dont know why it happens, maybe someone else can shed some light on it 4 me..

i may have the same problem m8. my client freezes every now and then after i log in...approx. after 30-40 minutes of playing or sitting in station and all i can do is power down and reboot my pc since theres ni way to get back to desktop once this happened. eve makes me kind of sad. its bugged to hell and noone cares about it. i hope it has to do with kali since otherwise this game is rendered unplayable for me.

i can absolutly guarentee it isnt heat....
i have 2 accounts, i install eve in the usual place c:\programfiles\ccp. then copy the ccp folder from program files and paste it into c:\ then for the original install i use the desktop icon and for the other account i just go into the ccp folder that resides in c:\ and use the eve exe in there. and its this account which is crashing and corrupting this folder c:\ccp\eve\cache\machonet.
and after its done it 2 times today ,, fortunatly i have 2 computers,,so ive installed my 2nd account onto the other 1,, but it doesnt solve the problem

It could be your memory timings, but I'm not sure about that because I'm not technical.

I have this problem as well. I have a core2duo e6600 with a radeon x1900gt and 1gb of memory. I shouldn't be having any memory timing issues as I have high quality memory off Intels compatibility list on real Intel board. I have had problems off and on since the expansion, but yesterday during an op it became very bad, locking up every time when I warped into combat. I reinstalled the latest video driver and it seemed to fix it. Some people report that it is the dual core processors that cause this. The solution according to ccp is to set the affinity in task manager to the first core. Another solution would probably be to go into your bios and disable the second core. Ive also heard people say there are problems with Intel on board audio on some boards. Disabling the audio fixes that problem, but thats not a good fix.For those people,a $20 usb audio device off eBay might be a temporary fix (if you get one that has a microphone input, and a 3 dollar adapter you can use it with a cellphone headset for teamspeak when the audio problem gets fixed. This in my opinion is better than most pc headsets.)

No, you can't. Unless you have set up fans blowing 500 cfm of air through the computer.
This is 95% certain a heat problem. The symptoms you describe are entirely consistent with problems from overclocking and/or poor cooling. Open the case and set a big house fan next to it blowing air at the motherboard, and crank up your air conditioner and see if that helps. Also you might try underclocking the system a bit.

Me and one of my fellow corp m8 had the problem with 2 acc running even 1 acc... When sitting in station/waiting to long for startup etc. the nightmare came to us. "Black screen of death" still the Sound/Teamspeak etc work for like 10s before the howl computer went dead not even able to restart probebly without a coldboot... Altho this issue is related both to EVE & ATI X1950 the graphic card does what ATI is best at "not work when no load" alotho it's solved by some small changes if run in window mode use diffrent screen resolutions on the accounts. second dont be in stations more then like 1min or so... So I solved it by playing more IN space.
