So what happens if your skill is done training in a few mins yet you are in/ or warping into Jita in which you simply cant play, access anything or even log in due to the whole lag situation that jita has decided to bring upon eve lately.
I am in that situation now, however given how long iv being playing im not at all worried about the time i could lose, i can simply train skills on my alt or just generally not give a toss
But....
What about the new players where a few hours(a rather large amount at the current rate) training can mean alot.
I think being able to say " i cant log in to change a skill due to lag" is a massive problem. Last thing you need is stuff like this getting out to the people who have not yet started playing eve or are currently planning on.
Or maybe im just thinking into it too much.... huh!

pff... I nowadays login, and look for a skill not to change within the next 24hrs. And there's this 2nd main I have.
I'm sure i lose about a month of training time per year...

Losing time is no big deal.
I'm not waking up at 3am to change a skill.
A skill que would be welcome but I'm not losing sleep over it.

I am stuch in the same way for a few hours now .. jita is a hazard zone if your connection dies whilst in there be afraid be very afraid. .. skill ending in .. 50 min from now give or take .. they should simply move people. if you log in whilst in jita you enter the game in misc. station in the forge docked with your ship and stuff. or well that would solve lots of issues.
I`m sure this can be abused but it sure as hell beats the current situation where people simply cant .. play.

I really wish they'd let us change skills from the "My Character" page on the site. It doesn't really hurt me to lose a few minutes or hours here and there, but sometimes i'm away from a PC that can run eve for extended periods of time and I don't always have a multi-day skill to train (that's in the area i'm concentrating on, at least).

Or get better hardware to play on, and broadand, I never have these issues you speak of, so its not just the people playing, its you.

I don't understand why people are packed into Jita.
There are other markets out there, everything I put up sells, even in remote systems, nobody wants to travel all the way to freakin Jita just to buy an afterburner.
Create local markets, open a shop and keep it stocked, see how many people come buy your stuff because they don't have to hump all the way to Jita to buy something.

I just cant understand with only 21,000 people online how it is so broken...
There was 33,000 the other week and there was alot of lag in Jita but at least it was letting people in/through...

The hamsters tend to slow down a little before the finial heart attack takes them. 
If it's a error they respond rather quickly to petitions on the matter. Not sure about reimbursement though. Had the character loading error, and they responded the following morning. Downtime fixed the error though, so didn't bother requesting reimbursed for 10 or so hours. The response did give me the impression if it had lasted longer they would have helped me out in some way to be compensated. Jita could be a different story though, as that's just traffic congestion. 
Make Jita 0.0, I might just take up piracy then.

Yah unfortunatly I switched to a 50 minute skill about 30 minutes before i went to jita... there was 20 minutes left when the **** hit the fan as it has.

Not everyone in Jita is an alt who lives there 23/7. I had only jumped both of my characters into Jita to move stuff as Jita crashed, but I guess I deserve it.

Minmatar: Train two "primary" systems, taking twice the time, for 1/2 the benefit. It's a thing of beauty.

perhaps the events team can run some random events where pirates are cut loose in jita ( make em killable by players but perhaps attacking a few dozen or hundred ppl over a couple of hours during peaktiem under the events headline might be enough to reduce the lag)
its been done before all non combatants could get out of the way with plenty of blue writing in local - just an idea might work and they can nerf the macro ice miners while they are at it.

my alt has been stuck trying to log in to jita for over 2 hours. i crashed on jump in and havent recoverd. it just keeps kicking me back to char select. it wouldnt be so bad if there was a 2-3 jump route around it. but there isnt.
2 CCP pls open up a "ring road" around jita so we dont have to go in there if we dont want to.

Umm... anyone ever think of auto-pilot?
I'm stuck in Jita because of the joys of auto-pilot. I wish there was a "Avoid Jita" option...
Oh, and to the OP... GMs very rarely reimburse lost skill time.

There are other markets. I make 95% of my transactions in Domain and Tash Murkon. Jita is used only for key transactions, where it provides a significant bonus for selling or discount for purchase. And I'm fully aware on that 5% that I'm likely gonna be f****d while there, and take precautions.
Buyers or sellers, one or the other needs to take the first move and begin commercalizing the regional markets. In time, they would be slightly smaller, but roughly the same as Jita is now.

i have to agree,, that a ring road is very neccessary now, alot of ppl in jita are just passing through, and it would relieve alot of pressure if all those ppl didnt have to pass through. on another note, just a little suggestion to all those trying to log on into jita,,, next time ure gonna log off,,y dont u dock in a nearby sys instead,

Agreed. CCP should create a new constellation round Jita to enable people to bypass the system. They could call it the M25 constellation.

Perhaps I am unique in that I have successfully played this game for over 6 months now, much of it n Empire and never been to Jita. It is not the only place that has a market and everyone nows how bad it is there.
