i think this would be great, as 1. u dont have to worry about them stealing all your ore.
you could fit ur ship full of miners and head off to mine and pay the wingman to cover u, and issue commands to him, the more you pay the better the wingmans skills\ship would be.
would be very handy in many ways.

1. combat drone thats the size of a battleship? if u pay enough?? i dont think so.. if drones were as good as a bs we would all be flying them!
and player controled, 50% of the people in the game will loot ur hangers if u give them access.. id rather an npc..
plus its hard for the lone trader (like myself) to want or be willing to trust another player to do it.. and with different time zones that annoying 2...

Plenty of single-player RPGs out there. They'd be cheaper, too, you don't have to pay a monthly online subscription. Go find one.

If you don't trust anyone else with your "ore" stay in 1.0... if thats not good enough join a "group dynamic" and mine together... otherwise you are not playing the game as its intended...

Well something that would be nice is to have NPC haulers.
Alot of small corps can have problems carting large amounts of ore / minerals around.
CCP want us to go out to the edge to mine high end ore. Ok, You take a BS out with a few miner II's and some regular guns so it can protect itself while it mines. You take a hauler out with a few giant cans. And now you've got to get say 5K of Dark Ochre 20 jumps to the closest refinery.
Even in a more 'Normal' Situiation. You mine and refine in the same system. Now you have 5M Trit you want to move to your factory all in 0.8 or above
