Looking at the forums I`ve noticed more and more people getting stuck at the login screen with chars in jita. I am one of em with a skill about to end wich is a tad annoying but whats frightning here is that jita draws more and more trafic like a venus flycatcher overgorging itself on fat juicy players.
Jita is the main market hub.
Jita is since revelation also the main contract hub as contracts are not evewide they are logicly centered on jita, it being the market hub and all.
Jita is favoured by the autopilot as it has such a large amount of gates leading in and out of it so it has a large influx of travelers.
Jita has starting players
and now the latest load on poor poor jita is people who`s connection craps out as they fly trough or who get kicked by the server or crash or [insert murphy accident here]
These players naturaly try to reconnect adding yet another load on jita. It keeps growing and growing.
Now there have been plenty of disussions about disolving the jita market hub so I`m not going to go into that as I dont think its an easy issue to just 'solve'
lightning the laod however can be done by for example moving the nubbies to a new location or making contracts regionwide again or simply making it impossible to set a contract up in jita .. letting everyone who logs into jita login docked in a station elsewhere in the forge giving the autopilot a hatred for jita etc etc ... plenty of little none market related issues that could lighten the load ....or atleast let me log back in

They should, lower Jita's sec status, change the gates, and lower the prices of all NPC sales & add items usually only found in players sell orders. The sellers wont make profitable sales, the buyers wont risk entering the low sec system. Everyone will move out.
Of course the moral of the story is GET OUT OF JITA.

Would love to get out of Jita.....of course I'd have to be able to actually log in first.

yah indeed logging in the get out is the problem .. I`m in the same boat. as for lowering jita sec station that wont realy do a thing as there will always be a market hub ... it will just move elsewhere. however combining the market hub with a newb start point and leaving it as a highway for travelers and further centralising the market there trough regional contracts and further fun fun fun does not realy help...

I'll say this again. It is my personal opinion that transaction tax should be variable depending on the amount of isk traded, calculated each week.
Boom trade hubs fixed.

Everything is already in place for you (yes, you) to improve conditions in Jita. Spread out. Use alternative routes. What makes it the main market hub and main contract hub? Is this the only place that's allowed? Is it designated by large, pink, neon signs hanging in the window of a station?
No.
YOU (yes, you) made it the main market hub and main contract hub. I'm using the plural 'you' obviously. Why should CCP fix a player created issue?
Note: This is only about Jita, not odd little wait queues for jumping into a system that only has one or 2 people in it.

i think it would be a smarter idea to disperse connecting jump gates to outlying systems. Would at least stop the cross traffic from adding to the load.

Had no problems getting into Jita, now I can't get out. It has been 30 plus minutes and counting now and all I see is my ship and can't select anything in the overview. :(

also sending ppl from another region to jita for a mission is not good idea .Waiting for more than half hour at login screeen now

That would just discourage trade hubs, which is bad.

They should leave Jita as it is tbh. Just another of Eve's hazards. Like gatecamps, only it's permacamped by lag.

rofl at your post, but don't forget, that the lagfest of Jita screws the rest of us up too. If Jita was on it's own little server, lagging away, and it didn't affect us, then fine, great, smashing!

that might help, can you imagine a ****ed-off BOB and ASCN? They'd all suicide gank every last person within six jumps of Jita in a rage. maybe.
