For some reason I can't activate my Character. It just says "Activating" and then stops half way.

Yep I jumped thru the Amar star gate from Yulai & now I'm stuck & cant relog :(
I hope the GM's are going to hold up the presentation until everone can log on!

Well It looks like it is the ceremony.....
Surely CCp knows that there are severe server issues when systems are congested ... Look at Yulai etc
So what do they go and do ... Have a ceremony DUH.....

I'm not even near Amarr or Yulai...
But do you also have the problem to Activate the character, not where is says "Tuning in on sub-space frequency" but "Activating character-name"?

Hi guys, yeah had the same problem,  i had the shiup on auto and obviously the ship attempted the jump, now all i get is "The Specified Proxy or Server Node (15975) is Dead". i dont see why CCP just does'nt do a roll back. at least that way everyone can get there chars back.
Just a thought.

I was present at the 'ceromony', and have the following to report:
1)after a 20 minute (!!!) load time on a 3 meg line I finally got in, only to not be able to see anyone.
2)from the local channel I understood that about half of those present (200-300) couldn't see anyone else, and the rest were generally ú*!$ed.
3)my ship proceeded to morph several times, eventually setling on a blackbird (yay - better than what I had).
4)Finally, and most importantly, the node died.
The key point, obviously, is 4. From what a couple of GM's where apparently saying at the time the whole server would need a reboot. As for those of us who were in the system, I can only hope our characters survived.

i will keep my fingers crossed, and if i come out the other side, i dont think i will attend anymore events.

This is awful! If CCP don't have capacity then they shouldn't arrange ceremonys of this nature....
I don't expect to pay for this kind a rubbish - attempting to sign in multiple times and still seeingthe same issue - sticking on Activating the character.
Simply a shambles - Get it sorted CCP.

Yay  they rebooted the servers. Booh  still cannot get the "tuning in on subspace frequency" msg
