Edited by: Elrinarie on 13/12/2006 08:43:02 OK.
I am building a program to basically make my corp's reprocessor's life a lot easier.
Basically what this program is, is going to be one that you can plug in your skills, how much ore was mined of what type, as well as minerals (handy for ratting where there are drones), and then calculate how much minerals will be obtained as well as utilities like dividing between the number of attendee's, corp taxes/station taxes, etc etc etc.
My problem is. Apparently I can't find a site that shows the true amount of every ore out there. Evegeek.com has a basic ore calculator except that the numbers it shows for a perfect refine rate are wrong.
http://rhsnr.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ore/ore_index.asp This website is also wrong, for example.
I just tested with 333 units of plain veldspar. When you add up the numbers that the station will take away, as well as what I lose because my personal skills aren't up high enough to get the full value, the amount 333 veldspar will salvage down to is 1k trit.
evegeek says it is 950 (which is factoring a 5% loss - the average station will take from you without high standings). The above site says it is 945 which no clue how they came up with that number.
Anyways. If there is no valid site, what I would like to do is ask each and everyone of you guys, to get 1 batch of ore (IE 333 units of veldspar, 500 units of jaspet, etc etc.) and tell me the complete value of minerals in that batch.
I don't want to flat out assume whether the 5 or 10% bonuses round up or down as I am trying to make this program as accurate as possible.
please if anyone has a link to that specific data, or can help me out with listing what they got for the ores (the total of all 3 categories - you receive, we take, and unrecoverable).
Please send that data to me.
I am planning on doing my testing internally with my corp, but if everyone likes it, I will be trying to get someplace to host the program so everyone can use.
Here is a screenshot so far to the program

Edited by: Eddie Knight on 13/12/2006 12:10:48 You might try the following tools. At the top of the page you can change the tax and yeld (which are based on your skills and standing).

I wrote this exact program a while back in visual basic, plus it had a few more options. I am more than happy to send you the source code if it will save you some time. The hardest part was calculating the exact yield from refining based on the ore type, the refiners skills and their standing with the npc corporation that own the station, but I got that all working 100%.
Let me know if you want me to send you the source.

Edited by: Elrinarie on 13/12/2006 17:22:45 Thanks guys.
yeah the evegeek one is off, but the other websites have the information that I need.
Dante. I am writing the program in C#.
While I wouldn't mind taking a look at your source there are a few things else I am adding to mine as well (such as a character import option, saving the mineral costs, and saving the raid/mining op's to files for ease). Additional items and features I am more than willing to add to the program, but I want to get the core functions down first.
err.. nm no pm feature in the forum heh.. well I will send it to you when I am able to log into the game tonight sometime.

I have a sudden urge to boot up VB6.0 again.
If you're on IE, pretend this is transparent while you get a better browser. |
