So far, I've seen three titans substantiated as being in existence in the universe.
All three are Avatars. The reasoning is the substantial capacitor recharge the ship provides to it's gang, as I understand, which apparantly outclasses all other bonuses from the other Titans.
1) Is this a legit argument? Rather, is it -really- a better bonus than is granted to the other Titans?
2) If so (or even if not), what would you do to the other Titans to make them more 'on par'?
My humble suggestions, going along with the themes of each race's strengths, are as follows... Feel free to laugh.
Gallente - (Drones and Armor) +7.5% armor hp per level, AND +5% armor resists per level, -or- +10% damage to drones of gangmembers per level. Caldari - (Missiles and Shields) +7.5% shield resist amount per level AND +7.5% shield total hp, -or- +7.5% damage to gangmember's missiles/rockets Minmatar - (Speed and Guns) +10% damage increase per level to Doomsday weapon. -or- +1 solar system range for Jump Drive per level

I keep getting told things about RAGoon and an Erebus.
No doubt unsubstantiated rumors though. It'd be nice to see a Erebus though, all these giant mushrooms are getting tiresome.

I'd say it was because the recharge rate bonus benefits all races ships (everyone needs cap), whereas the gallente one is better for armor tanking fleets, caldari for shield tanking, and minimatar for... well... erm...

I think the reason why you are seeing this is because of the nature of how large fleet fights work. In those you have 30+ bs's vs 30+ bs's, also include bs support and tacklers ect. The problem comes in that 1 bs at a time on either side gets called primary. With 30+ ships shooting at you it won't matter how good your tank is you will be downed in a few seconds.
Why does this matter what titan is popular now? Because gallente and caldari give hp which will only be adding to your tank which is...not extemely helpful in large engagements. Minmatari have an interesting bonus but I feel it would only help out cruisers and below. This means awesome tackling and support for bs's. Seeing as how the battleship is the work horse of all major fleet fights that bonus isn't significantly helping them (bs pilots). Ammar however, has a cap bonus, the ability to fit a ship with pure damage and not have to worry about running cr's/cpr's/cap flux's is a huge deal. It saves you slots for tracking and damage mods. That is a major improvement to your fleet under the current paradigm.
Anyway that is my guess. I'm still new (4 months) but from what I've seen in my fights damage is king and fitting a tank is a horrible waste of slots.

An Erebus BPO was sold ages ago. At least if the corporations & alliances forum is to be believed (I think it was DBpreacher who said it outright) , it's being built by D2. Might be more of those in the pipeline ofc.
As for bonuses, I figure biggest advantage the avatar has is for capital ships. It makes a huge difference for a dreadnaught's tank.

XL xtals never run out, so that's probably a large selling point. Plus the fact that they want too armour tank the Titans, and Amarr are known as the armour tanking race (haha).
There's lots of up and downs, but at the end of the day, it's probably just because it looks the best. ---

Yes, the cap bonus on the Avatar is extremely useful. If you don't understand why... ... then take a look at other capital ships.
The cap bonus from having an Avatar in the system is a huge improvement to dreadnaughts/carriers doing POS warfare.

I'll just go out on a limb here and suggest that we have only seen amarr titans because the people who could afford to make one were probably MUCH MUCH closer to having the skills for an amarr titan than any of the other races (and it takes a LONG time to train for a titan).
They probably wanted on sooner rather than much later.

That's a whole lot of bull****. The only racial skill you need is battleship lvl 5. Players old enough to fly a titan usually already have at least 2 races BS 5. Also, no guy with just one account will ever be a titan pilot. That is not an issue, at all.
The sole reason is the one I've already given. The Avatar's bonus is extremely useful for other capital ships, which is where it really counts.

Question here: why does most of EVE refer to Goonswarm alliance as GOON? Our ticker has been [OHGOD] ever since it was created.
Referring to Goonswarm as GOON just makes us roll our eyes and laugh at how lazy people are not to even check the ticker.

Oh don't worry, the goons are just as suicidal with their battleships as they are with their frigates.
