I've been unable to play now since Galatea was deployed, I don't run multiple accounts i only have this one.

My launcher says client ready so I login, I click play and all i get is "Launching" for 20 seconds then it reverts back to "Play". I've completely wiped the game from my system yet i'm still having the same problem. I've paid steam for the chance to launch through them and yet that doesn't work either.

Livid doesn't come close to describing how I feel about this, when does CCP wake up and fix this problem?

Yeah, I get this - then about 5 minutes later, the account finally loads, crashing any sessions that have started in the meantime.

Thanks heaps for the "fix" CCP.

I can only say to other players to exercise the patience that you have been forced to endure up to this date.

I don't know if this fixes the problem, but the easy way to run multiple accounts is to create a symbolic link for each additional account. As these are links, you only need to update 1 copy of the game, but each link has its own settings. To make the links, run the command prompt as admin, browse to the folder Eve is installed in and type the following:

mklink /d Eve2 Eve

Eve is the name of the current Eve install
Eve2, or whatever you want to call it, is the name of the second install.
You will now have a new folder called Eve2 that looks like it is a complete install of Eve and runs as a separate copy of the game, but is just a link to the original install.

Shut down server.

Restore to pre-patch status.

Fix patch.

Deploy later.

Much better then leaving all of your customers waiting around while your devs figure out what they screwed up.

I'm sure everyone would just love having to redownload an earlier version just to wait for a fix.

I guess time spent in downloading is still time spent... it's not like anyone's got anything to do, right?
