Is this true?
Someone recently told me that Jita was going to have a supernova happen to back up something the GMs/Devs are doing, and they are telling everyone to move out assets.
Following quote was supplied as evidence:
[21:46:22] Steel Catrat > GM Loki > To back this up in the EVE storyline, we are planning for the Jita star to supernova, thus destroying all jump gate access. All player clones are going to be moved to the surrounding systems.
However, the total lack of mass speculation on the forums has started to make me feel this may be a huge lie, so, anyone in Jita can confirm if it's true so I can go "YAAAAAAAAY  "

Hmm.. ok this is looking a little more suspicious then. I had a feeling it was a bit dodgy when I check the site and no mention of it on forums or news posts.

I would bet that at least 3% of all EVE assets are in that system, so they would have to move the items too.
So no, I doubt it.

i highly dought this as i know Steel Catrat is a scammer and likes to make bogus contracts to scam people out of isk for minerals deals...
So take anything he said as a lie until proven true by the sun blowing up!

Yeah, the quote was supplied by a corp mate, I don't ever go to Jita so I couldn't confirm that it was true, just thought I would ask on the forums. I look a bit silly now I guess. But I don't really care.

lol I've been in and out of Jita 3 times in the last hour and I can confirm it's still there. There was an in game message about several systems being rebooted (Jita being one of them).

Ahh, do you imagine? One day without telling anyone, CCP makes Jita go nova and every single hangar gets destroyed with ALL its contents, + ships and clones of players that are flying in that system...
Do you imagine the OUTCRY of all those carebears?
Gheez, what i'd give to witness that (and even more, the outcry and complains on the forums that will come later)
