vladalv	Posted - 2006.12.14 00:46:00 - [1] Whenever I am in game and I sit still for a few minutes I get disconnected. As long as I move or interact with the game it keeps me in. This is becoming a problem when i am safe spotted or in a station. Any help? This has just started happening in the last three weeks.

I have experienced the disconnect problem too. However, one of my corp buddies fell asleep while near a gate and didn't wake up for 8 hours, but he did not get disconnected. I'm not saying you are wrong Baleorg, just saying its not working this way for everyone. If it is an anti-AFK thing, its bugged. surprise surprise! Quote: GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL BABY!!!

Go to start run (WinXP desktop) and type this in, ping 87.237.38.200 -t It constantly pings the Game server and seems to keep the connection alive longer. I am unsure whether it is helping at the server side or if its keeping my Wireless router from timeing out.

Takes 5 minutes to analyze the exploration probes and you can't warp off in that time so of course I'm just sitting there and never get my scan results because I'm disconnected by the end

They usually self-close ports to save space in their routing table and this sometimes means that eve ports are closed because it sends very little information when AFK. ---- God gave us a brain, he also gave us a voice. Shame some people have yet to connect them.

I am launching probe start my scan then i cloak the next thing i know just before the count down timer stops about 30 seconds my cable modem goes down and instantly reconnects to the internet. this is only happening when i use one of the new probes please ccp fix this... its not my computer because I can do everything else and not get disconnected

If not, at least I can get the satisfaction of doing the equivalent of running up to the grumpy old man's house, ringing the doorbell and running away, over and over and over and over and over... It would also be true that if 30K people had to use that fix, then CCP would have to admit that there's a problem and fix it. Fortunately for CCP, it seems that most of the player base can happily connect and stay connected to the server without resorting to dirty pool tactics such as this to stay connected. === Q u o t e: If the servers aren't up, its not a hotfix.

Here's how to leave tiscali broadband without charge and move ISP: Download as much as possible, about 20-30gig a month will get you in their badbooks. It will give you a phone number to call to migrate away and they DON'T charge! Get your MAC (Migrate Away Code) emailed to you and then go to a provider that is ACTUALLY unlimited. ALL ISPs have 'Fair Usage Policies' and/or cap limits and/or traffic shaping that mess with your EVE and torrents..... except ONE. It took me 4 days of CONSTANT research and here it is... fast4.net No limits! Their policy says they might contact you about your bandwidth usage if you exceed 500gb a month (That's 16gig a day!) but they'll never cap you or shape your traffic. They are officially ACE, ú15.95 a month for 8meg, with no contract. If you do move to them and this article is of help, mention my Customer ID when you migrate: 200931 It'll save me ú1 a month.
