Edited by: Reto on 14/12/2006 01:22:59 alright my client freezes every now and then after i log in for a lil longer. sometimes it freezes after i play 2 minutes sometimes after 2 hours of straight station sitting. sometimes it wont. my system stats are as follows:
AMD athlon 64 3400+ processor 2.2 Ghz 1GB RAM 256Mb nvidia GeForce FX 5500
i also got a cable i-net connection and according to speedfan my systems temperature is ok too. so do you guys experience problems like these aswell or does anyone know a solution ?
regards reto
/edit: i forgot to say that if the client freezes i cant do anything with my pc but power it of and restart afterwards since it simply wont react regardless whatever u do. i currently running all kinds of antivir progs and reinstalled eve client but still im freezing and my pc cannot recover from it but with a restart.

Hardware unstable. Start fiddling...
Look in BIOS menus for chipset settings. Things like ram speed, concurrency, HT/PCI/PCI-E features.

ya know im this kind of "plug and pray" pc user so i dont have a clue how to fiddling with bios (which could be pretty dangerous for my system regarding my non existant pc knowledge). some ppl told here that heat could be a problem. currently i simply cant figure what the problem is.

also a friend told me that his pc isnt using 100% of its rescources while running eve. my pc jumps to 100% system performance once i start the login screen not to mention playing eve. the system temperature rises to 55¦ and higher once the connection is established and the game is going on. is anything wrong about that and if yes what shall i do ?

I have this from time to time too since "REV" was released.( Even the mouse is frozen) I just have to wait for 1-2 Minutes and everything continued without problems. (no connection loss or anything else)

Which soundcard are you running? There is a well known driver problem that is effecting some Eve players.
I think 55 may be a little hot for that processor, since Revelations the CPU usage of the game seems to have increased quite a bit (for what?) which means some people are going to experience overheating. It may be worth finding out the temperature limits for your Athlon, they vary somewhat because of their core sizes.
