I hear everyone sayig the raven is the best lvl 4 mission runner. Well I have never found a setup that works well for lvl 4 missions using a raven. Please tell me what you are using so I can try. I always find an armour tank to be much more efficient.
K thnks.

highs : 6 siege launcher (named / TII ), 1 Large NOS mids: invul field, 2X specific aktive hardener, large shield booster, boost amp, cap recharger or painter . lows : 3 bcs ( 2 in case you take the painter in mids), 2 pds ( 3 in case you take the painter in mids )
small scout drones to take care of all frigs.
if you have good energy skills, together with the large nos you can run the booster almost forever.

Edited by: Dana Serenity on 14/12/2006 12:05:20 Caldari is a shield tank ship and is best suited for a shield tank. When fitting your tank you should tank it for the faction you are going to be fighting, it usually shows it in the mission details page. Once you know what you are fighting, find out what damage they deal by looking on sites like Eveinfo.com and tank specifically for the faction you are going to be fighting so if you are fighting Serpentis, they cause thermal and kinetic damage so you would fit Thermal and Kinetic hardners so they cause less damage per shot, its also useful to look at what their resistances are weak to by looking at the offensive data on this same website. Then you would fit weapons accordingly so for Serpentis, they are weak against Kinetic so you would fit weapons and drones which do kinetic damage such as juggernaut torpedo and the Vespa I medium attack drones for example. Finally I would fit PDU's and BCU's in the lowslots to cause more damage and increase you cap recharge a bit so you can maintain your shield boosting a bit longer... This is a Tech 1 Raven setup I use against Angel Cartel rats in 0.0... Its not the best setup but it works well for me
High Slots: 6x 'arbalest' siege missile launcher (Loaded with bane torpedoes) 1x 'Knave' Heavy Nos 1x Tractor beam
Mid Slots: 1x 'anointed' i em ward reinforcement 1x ballistic deflection field I 1x heat dissipation field I 2x large f-s9 regolith shield induction 1x large c5-l emergency shield overload I
Low Slots: 1x type-e power core modification: diagnostic system 3x ballistic control system I 1x Damage Control I
Drones/Ammo: Bane Torpedoes 5x Valkyre & 5x Warrior drones (Swap depending on whether fighting cruisers or frigs)
This set up I use for Angel Cartel, it has a balenced tank because Angel Cartel can do ALL types of damage but I fitted explosive drones and torpedoes because thats what they are weak too. If I was fighting Serpentis for example, I would use 2x Kinetic Hardners, 2x Thermal Hardners, 1 Large Shield Extender and 1x Large Shield Booster and I would use kinetic drones and torpedoes... Try experimenting with this setup, like swapping out the 3 BCUs for PDU's and one of the shield extenders for a large cap battery or a cap recharger so you can maintain your boosting for much longer periods of time.
Also when doing complexes / missions, the rats may be split of into smaller groups, just attack one group at a time as only that one group will aggress. Its a little easier than taking on all of them at one But sometimes you arn't given a choice and they will all go for you
Hope this offers a little help!

How do you keep your tank up during a lvl 4 mission. ? Very little or no cap recharge items there. Ive flown raven i missions, and missions like angel extravaganza would force me to warp out several times, even tho i had 5 pdu t2 in low slots + a cap recharger 2 in med. ---------------------- BiH 4tw |

Try
HIGH 6x Cruise Launcher II 1x Tractor (or go overboard and use TWO)
MED 6x Cap Recharger II
LOW 2x T2 Large Armor Repairer 3x T2 Mission specific herdeners (or if it's laser rats, 2 hardeners and one BCU)
Sort of expensive tbh, but nowhere as expensive as faction.

Edited by: Pyrasanth on 14/12/2006 14:23:14 I use something like this. I don't bother with the Tractors though for level 4s as I have a lootage ship for after.
Highs: 6 x Cruise Launcher IIs 2 x Heavy Diminishing Nos
Mids: 4 x Race Specific T2 Active resists 1 x Shield Boost Amp 1 x XL II shield booster
Lows: 2 x BCU II 2 x PDU II 1 x CPU enhancer (Cos my skills need work)
This copes with most level 4s. Enemies Abound is one I avoid though cos no mater what I do I die lol.

It depends on missions but Cruise are better than Siege to use on bc and below and they allow you to get more cpu/grid. In cases where I am forced to warp out I actually just put a cap injector on it and finish it smoothly without ever warping out. (Worlds Collide etc.)
