Now, with both video from another client and screenshot from my client...
.. CCP HOW ABOUT SORTING THE ******* GAME?
This is seriously beyond 'bugged'. It's unplayable.
The out of synch problem needs to be sorted, now. The client used to record this shows the fight exactly how I saw it in my client, as well as my team mates did. I'm perfectly orbiting Dray's raven at 500m range the whole fight.
Yet my log from that fight goes like this (this is at approx 7:30 in that vid):
[ 2006.12.09 19:11:34 ] (notify) Dray's Raven is too far away to use your Medium 'Regard' I Power Projector on, it needs to be closer than 6000.0 meters.
[ 2006.12.09 19:12:21 ] (notify) where am i? is too far away to use your Medium 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction on, it needs to be closer than 6000.0 meters.
How can that be?
Further, when I got that very first message at 19:11:34, I immediately right-clicked Dray's raven and picked approach. Did I approach it? NO! I was completely unable to cap transfer/remote rep my team mates. Needless to say, Dray was completely unable to use his 2x large remote repairers on my Eos - he also got the message I was out of range.
Behold:
[ 2006.12.09 19:12:58 ] (notify) MC Forever is too far away to use your Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I on, it needs to be closer than 10000.0 meters.
This is the message I get when my webber deactivates cause I've moved out of the 10km range from Erilynn's raven.
Except I'm supposed to be 21km away from it at this point!. And so am I on the client recording the match as well.
Not to mention the can with cap charges that Magorath dropped for Dray: When it finally appeared after a looong time, it was a very far distance away from Magorath and Dray - on everyone's client.
Has anyone ever wondered why MC stopped shooting Dray and started on me instead? Because Magorath has 4 sensor dampeners on their CNR. I'm webbing that raven. And I seriously doubt that raven has a lock range of more than 10km. But thing is, on everyone's client I'm orbiting Dray and so all clients says I'm out of that raven's lockrange as well. But quite obviously I'm not.
This is a complete ****ing joke. You can't possibly have serious tournaments and expect us as players to dedicate lots of time to this, when your game simply doesn't work.
Thankfully (for you), Burn Eden beat Xelas 28-0, so then it didn't matter. But otherwise there would have been a real ****storm, cause we were winning this match vs MC 28-2 until your game simply broke.
Q: How do I explain to your GMs that your game doesn't work so they can hand me my stuff back? And when will I get my sec status back? (I mean, it's only been 2 weeks, surely I couldn't expect my sec status petition to be done by now)
(sidenote on this match - Dray's shield: as Dray had been remote-repping Magorath and saving cap charges by keeping cap-lvl at about where recharge is highest, he capped out when he activated his own booster. This made his hardeners turn off and it took him a good while to notice (nub ) - and that's why Dray's shield dropped in seconds but then he still hung in there.)

We ran into this. Realized in horror that the Absolution was 21km away from the Impoc, which put it out of rep range, then... the remote reps fired off anyway. Since we had NO idea where the server thought we were, we stopped both ships cold and didn't move them for the rest of the fight for fear of the absolution leaving rep range. Then the Absolution died anyway, followed by the Impoc. We only ran into this problem in the system used in the later quarter finals.
I haven't had my sec status fixed either. One of our guys (Uuve) got told in the middle of the tourney by GM's that this was not petitionable. He couldn't undock because CONCORD would pwn him on the spot if he did. This means that for much of the tournament, he couldn't leave the station to outfit his own ship, so the rest of us had to do his shopping for him.

Its easy to talk afterwards about what could've been done instead.
In that fight, I focused my cap on the remote reps to keep the other ships alive. 15k armor and 12k structure is harder to kill than for example the 2k armor and 1k structure on the Curse.
If the focus fire was on the bhaalgorn, I would have had 2 large armor reps active and 2 medium remote reps on it. The fight would most likely have gone the same way. |

The focus fire was on the Bhaalgorn the whole time, you got bailed out by our drones going off to do their own thing. I think we'd won had the focus been on the Bhaalgorn as ordered too. Even more so if we'd gone up against a command ship with offlined modules.

Pretty much the same here, was repairing Palx(our ishtar) at 5-10km ranges with a 9km remote rep. Thankfully the rep never turned off due to this range desync, but I can very well understand why dalman is ****ed off, this is something that should not happen in the tournament, game randomness. In some matches were both parties launched drones at the start of the match there was also quite insane lag spike at the beginning, making it impossible to lock anything for ~10 seconds.

Have the IAC vs CoW match been censored for the faint of heart? It goes into buffer freeze 11:59 into the feed, not letting me see and showcase the Imperial Apocalypses departure to my weakling associates, tied down in pansy other MMOs.

I had that too - Workaround is to refresh the page, and slide it past that point (to say 12:20) and it works fine from that point.

It seems theres some trouble with the on-demand page, I have the same problem - BUGGER! - So if not it could be fixed in anyway, I would like to know if anyone have them as streams in let's say torrents like the 2nd Alliance Tournament.
